gamecube twilight princess question

I just found a couple of copies of this game but i can't find any info on when it was released. All it says on the gamestop site about it is that due to limited production, they won't be taking pre-orders. Anybody have info on it or can direct me to the correct thread about it?

It just recently came out this week, I'm not sure on the exact date it was supposed to hit stores, but it is certainly out now. I think it did see a more limited production run, to try and sell more Wii copies, but at least the US got to see it on shelves, unlike Japan where it was limited to online sale only.

I noticed they are going for a bit more on ebay ($70-$80) so are these hard for people to find in stores right now because I haven't seen or heard anything about it since I just bought it an hour ago at a K-Mart. Are these going to pretty much be once they are sold then thats it for the nintendo print run?

It came out Tuesday and it looks like the only places that really got fucked were Gamestop and EBGames, overall. There's some regional distribution issues (our Circuit City only got 4 copies in), but most people are reporting stumbling on piles of them at Best Buy.

Check Circuit City if you can, because it's only $38+tax this week :)

On Tuesday when everyone was getting shafted out of their preorders (a lot of Gamestops/EBs were only getting enough to fill half of their preorders), copies were selling for up to $100 or so on ebay.

Wal-Mart cancelled my online preorder I've had for a couple months today, so apparently GameStop aren't the only ones with troubles.

It's apparently out in the UK on Friday. And it's quarter past 1 Friday morning now. Gonna go to bed soon and then go for a wonder into town and see if I can get a copy.

Well that's supremely disappointing, although not suprising to me in the least. Does the Wii version sell for more than the GC version? With the Wii being backwards compatible, the last thing they'd want is for someone to choose the cheaper version, but as a Cube owner only at this point all I want is a Zelda game that was supposed to ship for my console *last year*

The retail price's the same for both versions. And the Cube version is available in retail in Canada. Dunno how easy it'd be to find it in your area, but it's somewhat feasible.

Man, I guess I'm lucky then. I was doing my Christmas shopping last night, and thought "Hey, maybe the EB in the mall would have a copy". I didn't think it would be that good of a chance, but I wanted to try anyway. I walk in there, asked the lady behind the desk, and after minutes of searching, I had my copy. Last one they had, too. Made my Christmas.

I lucked out getting this tonight. Best Buy had one copy left, and it was buried underneath an employee's clipboard and a stack of other games near the regular gaming display. Luckily, I was able to snatch it before anyone else, and then took advantage of them price matching CC's $38 price to get it for just under $40.

Still befor checking tru i wasn't in the mood running around town looking for a copy.

Insted i just preorder a copy from gamequestdirect.com, the game has been shipped too still it will be a while befor it get's here.

Realy NOA jump the shark on this one... making it a hassle just to get a copy.

Snagged one at Wal-mart yesterday. They're averaging $50+ on eBay still. It's the same prices as the Wii version here, but they had tons of the Wii version and only 5 of the GC version. Figured I'd grab it while I could.
