I'm a noob at this (do u like my avatar it sucks balls) and um I need an ac adapter for my atari 2600. if you do have it (or know someone who does) then give me some connections if they have the adapter and want to git rid of it ,please.

Yup, not a big fan of Atari E.T. either. Regardless, welcome to the forums. If you need an AC adapter for the Atari 2600, scroll down to "Buting and Selling" forum one section below this one and look at what people have for sale. If nobody is selling one, then maybe ask for one via thread.

You can almost always find an adaptor that will work in a thrift store. It doesn't necessarily need to be an Atari 2600 AC adapter, any 9V adaptor with a phono jack (like headphones have) plug and the right polarity will work and those are pretty common. I'm not sure of the tip polarity off-hand, but I expect that someone else will pipe up with that piece of information.
That'd be cheaper than getting one from someone here because shipping alone is going to excede the 99cents you'd pay at a thrift shop.
