I got myself in a bind and I need help, I put a game on ebay which did not sell so I sent it out to 2 people as second chance offers and both of them bought it, I never sent one out before or delt with using one. I thought it was the first person who bought it won it and the other second chance offer would be void afterwards. Now how can I remove it because he still has not paid for it but he is waiting for an invoice. Please help. (I did contact ebay and one of the people that have "won" the item.). I was hoping one of the ebayers on this site might be able to help me before ebay gets back to me.

Did both users accept the second chance offer? If not, you could just hope that one lets the deal expire. If both did, simply explain the situation to the one that bid the lower amount. Most buyers are pretty understanding in situations like this if you tell them soon enough.

Both of the people I sent the second chance offer did accept. I contacted both parties yesterday no response yet, but I did cantact ebay about it they pretty much said there is nothing really they can do because the item had ended with it sold. Oh well I guess ill wait and see.

How'd it turn out? Next time, only send out one second chance offer at a time.

I frequently send out two second chance offers at a time when I only have one extra item; always when the item sells for an absurd amount. According to my records, only about 10% of users accept second chance offers, and typically, when they do, it's when you submit the offer RIGHT after the auction ends and they are still logged in. You don't always have time to wait 1-3 days for the first person to let the deal expire.

The more time that passes between the auction end date and the time that they receive the offer lowers the percentage that they'll accept. The odds that one person will accept the offer is low enough, the odds that BOTH will accept are even lower and it's a risk I am always willing to take.

I've only had both offers accepted twice ever and both ended positively. In the first case, I bought the same item from a different seller and had it shipped to the buyer's address instead of mine. In the second, it was an article of clothing and I explained the situation to buyer #2 and offered to send him a different size. He accepted and was actually happier, because he perferred a larger size anyway.

It turned out better then I thought, the other person wrote me and asked what I was doing with the game he said he did not care if I sent it to him or not he just would like to know what was going on. I dont think he wanted it in the first place he sent an email before the auction ended asking for a shipping quote to find out if he wanted the game or not. Dont worry about me sending multiple second chance offers I learned my lesson ;)
