Anyone have/tried the Wii steering wheel?
I was thinking about getting one.
I'm a big fan of racing games. And for some reason, would like this thing for Excite Truck.

Thoughts?
Opinions?
Ideas?
Beliefs?
Thinkings?
Reviews?

Thanks!

Don't they include it with two of those lame racing games and sell it separately too?

They should have included it with Excitetruck.

Man,
It looks cheesy really. I'm not going to buy it until I see it in the used bin, cheap. I don't see myself holding a sterring wheel attached to nothing like my daughter's wiggle videos. Both games that include the wheel aren't good. But if I had a choice between the two evils, I'd buy Monster 4x4. Think 20 bucks for it seperately minus the 50 for the game. You are out 30 bucks for a stupid game but you have the wheel.

Thanks for the input so far.
I know that the wheel is sold seperately.
I havent seen it in stores, but they are on eBay.

Oh well, I guess I will just wait til after the holidays.

I bought it for $19.99 separately for Excitetruck. I love it! My hands holding the candy bar horizontal cramp up after an extended period of time. This wheel helps out a ton! I recommend it for Excitetruck, haven't tried it with any other game.

I would think holding that wheel feely, out in space, with it attatched to nothing would be even worse ergonomically. But maybe not.

yeah I bought it at target for 19.99 too for excite truck. It works really well. Feels better than holding the wii remote by itself and I thought that was cool too.

Question: can you switch the orientation of the remote then to use the wheel? I thought you had to have the remote with the buttons facing up on Excitetruck.

I bought the GT Pro game that came with the steering wheel and i don't think that game is too bad, but yes you are supposed to have the buttons facing up during excite truck. you can still steer and play excite truck with the steering wheel, but when going off jumps and landing, you have to tilt it to the correct position making it a little different. Its pretty much for comfort rather than realism when using the steering wheel for excite truck. if your hands/arms get sore while playing excite truck, go for the steering wheel, thats all I'd have to say. By the way, I don't know where you all are buying your steering wheels, but they have them for only 9.99 at circuit city, save yourself the $10. No use paying $20 for a round piece of plastic.

It feels weird, like "WTF am I doing?" weird for the first couple times you use it. But after that, I wouldn't play Excitetruck without it.
