I found one of these at the flea market today for five bucks, looked complete and mint (except it didn't have the box)... I left it because I wasn't sure if it would work with my system. Now that I found some reviews, I'm thinking of picking it up tomorrow if it's still around.

Has anyone used it? Is it any good? I'm mostly interested in it for the few FPS games I have around. :)

I used the version that came before that one. Worked fine, but I didn't think it was all that good of a substitute to a standard keyboard.

Damn! Always wanted to try one of those...they looked so fun! If you don't like it, let me know, I'll pick it up off ya.

Hahaha, sure thing. I don't play FPS games that much (I get severe motion sickness!) but I still want to try something different, ya know? :)

these are awesome, i cant go back to standard keyboard for FPS/strategy games. been using them for at least 5 years. started with the n50 then the n52

good points:

programmable macros and buttons on a tier system, ergonomically fitting for you hand, buttons for your thumb that are easy to use. n52 has 3 rows of keys with 3 shift + key combinations

bad point:

since it requires software to be installed, these are not allowed in high level competitions.

5 bucks is a steal.

remember it takes time to adjust, its not just a one time try thing, if you work at it you will see its an amazing device. mess around til you get the configs you like. there are even free configs on the belkin website, but not many updates in the past few years

I've wanted one of those.

I'm still pissed i passed on one of those for $18 on clearance.

Would have been pretty sweet using it with "Serious Sam".

These things are pretty cool. I also had the model before the one pictured back when I played a lot of FPS. They're much more comfortable and natural than trying to adjust your hand to the rigid, straight lines of a keyboard. They also allow access to many more functions than you can reach on a keyboard. And you can have multiple sets of controls by hitting a toggle key. That comes in handy for games like Battlefield where you fly or walk or drive. Overall I liked it. Too bad I don't play much FPS anymore.

Well, someone beat me to it. It wasn't there when I looked for it. Ah well, maybe next time. :\
