I wonder if that 1 year replacement plan extends on Microsofts 1 year warranty or if it's just 1 year from purchase.

I almost bought Fire Emblem actually...but just couldn't justify buying something I probably won't play for more than an hour. I heard its good though.

it used to be, when I worked at gamestop that the warranty from gamestop took over when the manufacture's warranty ended, but that may have changed.

I use to get excited when I hear of these eb and gamestop sales but ever since the merger the sales ads have been horrendous not really worth it, The only offer stuff that hasn't been selling and is taking up room EX: grand theft vice city whats next drake? The rest of there after christmas flyers on there website is most stuff at regular price. Why put all that stuff on there in a sales ad thats selling at regualar price Man I miss competition.

They are getting very lazy in there old bloated age. It is really dissapointing.

I guess I should get Fire Emblem now

Game Rush has had Battalion Wars for $9.99 for quite some time now. Got mine there last month.

Nope. The EB warranty would kick in a year after purchase, the VERY SECOND the Microsoft warranty expires. Same as it always has been.

I'm not aware of the warranty policy post-merger, but I can guarantee that pre-merger the EB warranty did NOT start after the manufacturer's warranty ended- it started the date of purchase.

I was a DM for EB and then the combined megalocorp known as Gamestop. I can tell you FOR SURE that the warranty starts the day your purchase is made. You can get (essentially) unlimited exchanges on broken hardware within the first 30 days if there is a legitimate problem. Your warranty should NOT be used during the normal returns/exchange period even though it starts the day of purchase. This makes sure you don't have to use your warranty the day after you buy a PS2 if you go home and it doesn't work (which is often the case).

I can answer a lot of EB/GS questions if you have em as I worked for the company on the DM level for quite a while. I'm doing much better things now--but let me know if you're curious. I'm always happy to help out other DP members. :)

Thanks for the heads up. I got Chibi-Robo, Custom Robo, and Battalion Wars. Unfortunately, they didn't have Fire Emblem or the version of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat with the bongos. I think Fire Emblem was a pretty tough find for this sale from the get-go. It's the only one of the GameCube games to not be listed on their site, and the used copies are still priced at $24.99.

When I went on Thursday they were out of sealed copies of Chibi-Robo and Custom Robo also, so I had to buy the display copies. Thankfully they were still in flawless shape.

I got Chibi-Robo yesterday. I was bummed about missing out on getting a copy when it was $10 at GameCrazy a few months ago, so I was glad to hear about another $10 deal on this interesting looking game. Thanks for the heads up!

My wife picked up Donkey Kong with the two bongos but why do you need two bongos if it is a 1 player game?????

You don't, they're just desperate to clear out those store space hogging bongos. You can always use the extra pair with Donkey Konga 1 or 2, though.

Just in case anyone here actually still plays the PSP, I bought Untold Legends for 9.99. Not a bad deal since it's a pretty good game. Not sure if discounts apply to other games or not :(

I went there not knowing about this topic, got fire emblem and some used games. I wanted KOTOR II it was only $10 used but they had no case for the CD so I said screw it :(

I went there and noticed they took out some copies of Half-Life 2 Collector's Edition for $34. They weren't discounted, though, which sucked. I want the game. I don't want to pay more than $10 for a three year old game. :P

I also saw some retarded kids hand in seasons 1 through 6 of Seinfeld for... $26 bucks. >_< Good lord I almost kicked their asses then and there. Arrrrrrrrrrrgh.

Still not a bad deal. That packaging is roughly as complete as the game itself.

I went last night and picked up the "Bongo Package". The cashier said that it was the first package he had sold. I forgot all about Fire Emblem. I'll have to check for that today.

Went to EB yesterday and the guy behind the counter looked at me like I was from a different planet. I asked him if he had any more of the 10$ Fire Emblem GC's in stock, and he said "Uhhh, its not on sale". Oh well, I found a "NEW" one on the rack for $19.99, so to avoid a wasted trip, I picked it up. Turns out it was a previously used copy, so I finally got the guy to give it to me for $10. So I guess all in all, I did get a copy of Fire Emblem for 10$ (even though its used X_x)

Also picked up a WOW 14 day demo for 2$, how sweet

Get Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. It's an incredible platformer that's played with the Bongos.
