I just got back from a thrift store and I came across something called an LCD card game and it is made by Gakken. The game is called TrojanHorse and I can't find it in the rarity guide. Does anyone know what this is and what kind price it is.

Yeah thats exactly it I was about to post pictures. Does anyone have ideas of what it might be though. It reminded me of a game and watch do you think it came out around the same time?

I think they came out around 1981, I have two of the trojan horse one, and also this one:

You can see other games by Gakken here:

Here's a link to a very old varity list that says it's ER+

Thanks guys that was helpful, because for the first time I actually stumped Wikipedia on this. I will hold onto this one, because it seems like it is quite hard to come by.

That Towering Rescue one looks a lot like one of the old G&W units...ripoff?

I've seen a couple of these units up at the local Game Exchange; what really intrigued me was the size of them. The length and width was almost the same size of a credit card. They're probably not any better or worse than any other LCD game, but I probably would have picked it up if I was in the same situation as you.

Yeah I could not deny my curiosity for a measly $2.50 cents I knew there had to be some sort of profit in it.

Rare in the US, but uncommon at best overseas. Nice games boxed. Value loose to mint in box probably $5-$30. No single Gakken card game is that much harder than another, but the Trojan and Towering Rescue games seem to pop up most. I would consider it a great score, but then I collect these sorts of things. Should you wish to trade it, PM me. I have alot to trade.

I had a gakken LCD game called "Runaway" when I was little.
I loved this game, and to this day, remains one of my all time favorites. I wish I still had it, it's kinda rare now.
