I know, good luck to me! If anyone has one of these, and can let me know if this system plays standard MSX titles as well, I would be quite interested in it.
It plays MSX games of course, but for playing Palcom LD games you'll need AND the MSX system AND the LD player
Esh's Aurunmilla igoes about $400 those days (such as Badlands), Interstellar is lower..
Good luck with the shipping charges, the LD player is 13 kg (around 30 lbs) alone!

Adol: So I need the system, any MSX system to connect it to, and the games.
Are they regularly on Yahoo Japan? How much usually for the system? I know the weight makes shipping a pain.
No,not ANY MSX system, only 2 msx systems are compatible
Check that:

They goes for 10000 yens or so generally, add 10000 yens again for shipping
for LD player, maybe 20000 will do it,and AGAIN 15-20000 for shipping charges minimum
Than count around 500$ minimum for the whole lot ,but half of that would be shipping!
They don't go often, even on Yahoo...
A Faq ( i found one really more helping, but this is the first one i found):

Basically if you find that ER-101 interface ( like 1 chance on 1 million) you can use any MSX computer, otherwise you should find those MSX computers:
Pioneer Palcom PX-V7
Pioneer Palcom PX-V60
Nothing else! except you have ER-101- interface..
and pioneer Ld-700 or Ld-7000 LD player
Edit: ok i found THE faq:

enjoy!

Stupid Question, a newer LaserActive system would have nothing to do with compatibility on these, correct?
Well, looks to be a bit more complicated than I thought to play two old LD games!

Just keep checking Yahoo JP auctions. You can usually find the PX-7 for a few hundred dollars. It is an MSX 1 machine, so any MSX 1 games on cart or other format will work with it. The ER-101 is much harder to find and frankly it just looks like a plug-in cartridge, so it's not really that interesting unless you don't like the way the PX-7 looks. The LD-700 which is a very common Pioneer US model laserdisc player works just fine with the system.
Make sure that whatever route you go, the computer to laserdisc player cable comes with it. Trying to build a custom DIN cable that works is a huge pain, although it can be done. The games have gone up a bit in the last year or two, but sometimes you can find near complete collections of sealed games. I think I spent a total of around $500 for a complete set of sealed games on Yahoo auctions, but again that was a few years ago. Good luck!

Bojay: what about the Laseractive? That is not compatible?
Of course LA has NOTHING to do with Palcom LDs
Palcom LDs are 7 years older than Laseractive!
You could just play Palcom LDs on any LD player (and then Laseractive of course) but you'd only see "all video sequences" at once, you can't PLAY the game since the sprites or choices wouldn't appear on screen
