Are there still new Game Cube games coming...Jap, PAL, or US wise?
Anyone know (German gaming magazines suck)

Zelda is probably the last major thing... there's supposedly gonna be a Western release of Radilgy, but what else I don't know.

I checked Gamespot.com not long ago about announced GC releases for 2007 and it was about 5-7. The biggest title seems to be the new Turtles game. Some of these games might be canceled and made for Wii instead.
EDIT: I dont know about JAP games tho, but the GC seems pretty dead :\

Super Paper Mario, like Kirby, has been completely moved to the Wii. There's no GCN release planned anymore. The biggest title (and the only one I'll be buying) that I see coming out is in Feb. 2007 from Q-3 Entertainment. That game is Radio Allergy, which is the new Western title for Radilgy.

Another reason to buy the Nintendo Wii. But that's OK. :)

Bummer deal, nice console, overall weak game line-up, time to pack it up I guess?

GameFAQs only has two upcoming releases for the Gamecube listed:
-A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game coming in March
-and Shrek Smash and Crash, which is already out in the US, but will be released in Europe in March
And that's it. So yeah, the system's run is over.

There'll be more games for the system... but it will all be from EA or licensed garbage.
A system is not dead until they stop releasing Madden for it... and you know 08 is coming to the Cube.

I never thought it could be done, but the GC has a worse lineup than even the 64.

Did DK Bongo Blast make it out?
Also, there are supposedly three Backyard Sports titles coming, but who really knows when they will show up.

I meant essentially over. I know they're probably going to squeeze a couple more sports games out, but if anyone is still clinging to their Gamecube and waiting excitedly for the next round of games, they need to move on.

I may have to start getting the older GC games that are now mostly pretty cheap. I wonder if Major League Baseball 2K6 will be the last baseball game for it? It was okay but I find myself going back to MVP Baseball 2005 even though the rosters are hopelessly out-of-date by now.

Not quite.

So will there not be a localization of Naruto 3 and/or 4?

Though it is sad that the Gamecube is nearly dead, I've got enough of a Gamecube backlog that it doesn't bother me too much. Time to play the classics I haven't started yet and remember the best of times!
I've got most of the Gamecube games I want too. I'm still interested in getting the following someday, though:
Wario World (I've played through a friend's copy a couple years ago, want to get one for myself because I know I'll play through it again someday)
Mega Man X Collection
Sonic Gems Collection
True Crime: Streets Of NY
Kirby Air Ride
Need For Speed: Carbon (I usually get the NFS games on the PS2, but since there's no advantage this year and the features on the PS2's collector's edition didn't make it seem like a must-own to me, I'll give the GCN version a shot)
I left Twilight Princess off the list since I'll probably get it on the Wii whenever I get that.

I believe there is Backyard Baseball 2007 coming, not positive though.

I looked and Backyard Baseball 2007 is indeed listed for the GameCube. It's supposed to come out in early April. I didn't think to look for DK Bongo Blast, though. I actually only bought 3 GC games all this year and I will beat that in January alone. That's because I went through the GameCube Favorites section in Classic Discussions and used some suggestions to decide on a handful of purchases and have ordered the following 5 titles...
1080 Avalanche
Red Faction 2
Serious Sam: The Next Encountrer
Go! Go! Hypergrind
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
It would've been nice for a bit more variety, I guess. I have two games where I am riding a board and two FPS games. Still, there aren't a lot of really good games I don't have (and I do like the system) except for one or two genres I never really got into.

I hope they still make super papaer mario a great game, I am cautious of them porting over an originaly planned GC game to wii, especialy for a platformer. It worked for zelda so I am hopeful for SPM.

My Gamecube is now a dedicated GBA Player.

Nosing around Gamespot, it sounds like DK Bongo Blast is now a Wii only game (I can't find any evidence there of a GC version). Super Paper Mario may still be a GC title...there are links to purchasing GC versions at Gamespot and it's listed at Amazon.com as a GameCube title.

Wasn't Castle Crashers supposed to come to Gamecube also?

Ehh, not quite. I love my N64 games and there's still others I've yet to play and have heard are great. It isn't the best library in the world but does have its gems. The GameCube had another good handful of games plus it has double the games N64 offers. I'm hoping the Wii can pull out a good selection and hit at least 500 games too.

All consoles have their gems and the Cube was no exception either.
The problem was that most of the Big 3rd party componies didn't suport it/or pulled out, being a Sega sports fan and watching thiem pull out, I was crushed, then Capcom didn't bring over most of the Street Fighters and Konami and Temco turning their nose up at the cube, dang...
Sure is a nice piece of hardware though, what a waste.

The problem with the Gamecube is that it just did not have enough support to stand with the other systems over five years. The system has several must have games, and I put it with the N64 in terms of console exclusives. I like others, will keep it around for the GBA/GB player on my TV. I hope that the Wii can do what the Cube or N64 did not, and that is to have a more diverse library. All major successful consoles have games for every category, and frankly the N64 and Cube did not do so hot overall to bring demographics other than kids to play their last two systems. If anything, I am a Nintendo Fanboy and love all Nintendo systems, but the Cube did not do it for me and I was dissapointed on how Nintendo milked the system like they did the N64 for the last year and a half. Nintendo themselves stated that the Cube was a "failure" and that they that if the Wii does as well as the Cube it will be a failure as well. May this new year be the beginning of a new era of console support for the Wii, and may it mark the end for Gamecube.

I never understood why 3rd parties ignored the Cube so much. It only ended up selling what, three million less than the Xbox...that's not a huge difference anyway you look at it. Considering many third parties developed for or ported PS2 games to the Xbox, it makes little sense to me.

I think it might have had to do with smaller disc size on the GC, which required the developers to also spend time and money on cutting down the content of the games from other platforms, not just porting the code.

So does anyone have a release list of upcoming games? I loved the Cube, too many great titles to name. I am curious to see what games come out and what the last game will be and when.

There's still plenty of amazing games I haven't bought yet, so for me it's not dead and to anyone saying the line-up isn't good obviously hasn't given the GC enough attention.
