Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (PS3) up for DL on JPN & HK PS Store!

For those of you that CAN'T WAIT, like myself, here's a little tutorial I compiled to help you download the game on your US PLAYSTATION 3:

HOW TO DOWNLOAD TEKKEN 5: DARK RESURRECTION FROM THE HONG KONG PS NETWORK

Note: Before doing this make sure you have a Visa or Mastercard Credit Card/Debit Card(In some cases you may need 2 cards).

1) Create a new log in on your PS3 system.(Far left of the XMB menu).

2) Sign up for the PS Network(Far right). Make a master account.

3) Fill in all information accordingly, choose Hong Kong as your country.

4) Under street address put in a random number and street name. For region just pick a random one, for example I picked Kowloon/Kowloon Bay.

5) Enter in your billing information, make sure you're accurate!

6) Once you finish setting up your account, go back to the Account Management and add funds to your wallet. What you're going to do now is add 40HKD twice. This will give you a total of 80 HKD. (Why are we doing this? Because for some reason when authorizing the credit/debit cards it will not complete the transaction when authorizing 80 or more HKD at a time;Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is 125HKD). So now that you have 80 HKD. Exit the account management and go into the PlayStation Store.

7) Choose the DL for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Once doing so it will ask you to confirm and once you do it will show that there is a remaining balance owed of 45HKD. Authorize the transaction and you should be good to go! If it does not work on the PS Store screen you will have to use another card(Edit billing information on the account management screen of the PS Network(Far right on XMB).

Have fun!

Impressions. The game looks beautiful! Full 1080P sex.

2006 PS3 Game of the Year!

Although you could say that I'm a tad biased. :)

No word on the US date as of yet. Probably after the Holidays.

Is it really running in 1080p? I've heard people saying that the scenes thats running in 1080p (generaly speaking) got damn few polygons etc. Sounds like bullshit to me :P So it would be nice to know if Tekken 5 DR really runs in true 1080p :)

Well the screen shots do look good, but to be honest I've always hated Tekken. I guess its just one of those fighters that doens't "do" it for me.

Yea... different strokes for different folks.

Personally, if it wasn't obvious already, I love the series. :)

Shit, GAF Tekken Defense Force in DP? Crazy.

Anyways, I'll rummage through the GAF thread later for details, but there is a way for us American fools to download this right?

Does the HRAP work on the PS3? I haven't heard anyone discuss controller compatibility yet.

Well there are no controller ports for the PS3 :(

Conventional USB convertors won't work either... well a Dual Shock 2 works with SOME convertors... but to use joysticks and other digital only controllers you'll need a special convertor. So far the only one that is tested 100% compatible with no lag are Elecom convertors....

This is the one that has been confirmed to work:

JC-PS101USV is the model.

MarkMan...

I think I'm just going to go ahead and get the HRAP3 (It should be out in Japan early Feb.). Have you heard anything about it NOT being compatible with US PS3's? I can't imagine it not working, but this thing is going to be ~$80 (+ $70 shipping) and I don't want to buy $150 "controller/brick" that ends up collecting dust because I don't have a Japanese PS3.

Well even though I'm not a Tekken fan the PS3 is way short of new titles so I'm going to be downloading this.

That and seeing that 125HKD is about 16 dollars here in the states makes it a bit of a no brainer.

Sony is now blocking US cards. So you can only get it with an HK or Japan card or via game sharing now.

Yeah so if there is anyone that would like to share that would be sweet.

If anyone is impatient... I can confirm that virtual gift cards via giftcards.com work for the HK store.

what was the final cost for the gift card?

The minimum is $25... and there is a $2 service fee.

People have been doing this and buying shares then selling em for tons of money... I know that sounds dispicable, but hey, some people are just impatient.

I know one guy that has sold over 100 shares for tons of money !
