I obtained this by accident. I NEVER get anything this old still boxed, please check out the links. I have a few questions, aka I don't want to screw this up.

Close up of the box says DEMO, it's a sticker.

And the inside with the styrofoam.

Now I don't want to mess with it too much. I do want to plug it in since my Inv III suddenly stopped working on me. Here's my questions:
1. What's with the Demo sticker?
2. Anything I should look for?, it's been sitting for 25+ years.
3. I haven't pulled it out, any pack in games buried in there?
4. Is there a way to know if it came from the Fresno test area? (Yes I did some reading but came across no solid evidence to help my case any.)
5. Should I just leave it alone and wait for the next Inv I come across?

I do sell on ebay occaisionally to ease the spending and create some mad money to continue my addicting hobby. I think we all do that. I thought about ebaying this but I am hesitant if this is a real gem rather to hold on to it instead.

I am stretching this a bit, but on the other hand some good advise is what I am seeking from my DP friends. Thanks guys Happy New Year!
Daniel

1. What's with the Demo sticker?
Applied to the box for the retail store demo unit so that it wouldn't be sold / inventoried. It's just a regular old INTV with a sticker on the box. No biggie.

2. Anything I should look for?, it's been sitting for 25+ years.
???

3. I haven't pulled it out, any pack in games buried in there?
It should come with Poker/Blackjack, but you're the only one who can confirm what's still in there. :)

4. Is there a way to know if it came from the Fresno test area? (Yes I did some reading but came across no solid evidence to help my case any.)
It didn't.

5. Should I just leave it alone and wait for the next Inv I come across?

No. If you want to play the INTV, play it. The market for INTV stuff is at an all-time low, I'd be surprised if you could get $20 for the boxed setup.

It's not a gem, but it's a good system in nice shape. I'd keep it, but I like to play INTV games. If you don't find the INTV fun, sell or trade it, whatever works best for you. But I wouldn't expect to get much for it either way.

I knew about the low end ebaywise.
I have a great time playing the games. Not into Utopia type games, I am more towards the arcade side of the system. It is very mint! The 25+ years question referred to anything broken/melted or any issues the Inv was proned to from the factory.
If it came from Fresno, how do I know?

I have no idea how you can tell if it is from Fresno but you can tell if it's an early model if:

the box is much bigger than the console
the serial number is low
the computer add-on is hyped on the box
I think the controller is different where the overlay slides in (no ridge along the edge)

good luck in your research.

I sold a INT. 2 Boxed for over $60 on ebay so you might want to try selling it there if that what you want to do

I need to replace my old Intellivision (it's on it's way out) so if you are interested in selling it, you should message me!

I'm gonna go hunting today. If I find one, I'll message you! You ought to do the same. Folks like to donate their old games after replacing it with all the new stuff! Christmas = great finds!
