I try and collect for all consoles, but some of my consoles have more games than others.

Nintendo 64 (PAL + NTSC) - leading the way with 31 games (all 26 PAL games are boxed with manuals).
Super NES - distant second with 10 games (mostly loose carts).
Game Boy Color - close third with 9 games (all boxed with manuals).
NES - close 4th with 8 games (mostly loose carts).
Atari 2600 - close 5th with 7 games (all loose carts).

Everything else has too pathetic an amount to consider mentioning. Not that these amounts are anything spectacular either!

The 3 systems that I collect for is the Atari 5200, Atari Jag, and the Vectrex.

I have a Atari VCS and Sears Intellivision, But Im not into those systems for some reason. The last console I ever bought was a SNES. I dont like the new systems.

My main love is for the 8-bit NES. I've almost completed it, but have some of the more expensive & tough to find left. I have recently started collecting the SEGA! systems, but mostly concentrate on the Dreamcast. I like some of the other people I know on & off this board, will probably just start mass collecting eventually.

Even without knowing it, I've amassed a fairly large collection of games, boxes, magazines, even the weird stuff. Even though I grew up with the Atari/Intellivsion?Coleco stuff, I never started collecting them. Nintendo must has put something on the joystick of that Donkey Kong machine I got started on.

Afterwards, I just collect the other stuff from the games that I like. I consider myself a collector for the top 3, and a gamer for everything else. So, for the rest, it just sort of happens naturally.

SNES (Complete boxed games) - 200 games(half are complete)
NES ( Complete boxed games) - 725+ games(200 complete)
Sega Genesis (complete boxed games) - 400 games
Sega Dreamcast (complete) - 165 games

I haven't been looking lately cause from Christmas 2000 to Jan. 2002 I amassed a credit card bill of around $12,000 just from buying games. :o X_x O_O

I am starting to shop around for games again and will try not to create another large credit card bill.

I will basically buy anything game related if I come across it for a good price, and of course I have the money to spend. I may very well be the poorest video game collector (or at least one of the poorest) on the site, so my main collections now are basically 8-bit computer cartridges. They come cheap most of the time (Vic-20 carts, C64 carts, Atari 800 carts) and actually have all the classic feeling and gameplay that I have loved since the dawn of the video game age. So, in my opinion, I enjoy the best of both worlds. I don't spend alot (don't have alot to spend anyway!) and I play and collect some of the best games ever created! :) Somehow I keep thinking it won't stay that way however.....these games being cheap that is.

I basically collect all systems, but my main focus is on Odyssey^2/Videopac. I grew up playing Videopac and I hadn't even heard of the Atari 2600 back then. From my own experience, it seems very possible that the Videopac even outsold the Atari 2600 over here in The Netherlands. O_O

NES: My all-time favorite. Having money in my hands its hard not to buy carts for my NES.

SNES: I like this one too, but this does not come close to the NES.
