Turn volume down on Wiimote?

Yes. Just hit the "HOME" button, and click on the bottom of the screen. It brings up options for each other controllers. Including volume.

Just to add to this. Zelda appears to not be effected much with the volume setting of the Wii remote's speaker.

I have mine on just the 2nd bar and that sword clang and charge up sound are still just as loud as ever. All other games however, do reduce volume relative to bars in the Wii remote properties. With Zelda for me, it is either loud all the time regardless of which setting used, or off.

I've personally deactivated sound and rumble on my controller, it just drains the batteries way too fast, plus I don't really think I need that for a good gameplay experience.
