View Full Version : having problems with my Dreamcast. Any advice?

Well, not really problems. I picked up a used DC. Never owned one before. It is cool, but it makes ALOT of noise when playing the game CD. Other than this, it plays perfectly. Just wondering if this is normal.

Well, they do sometimes make some noise. Just check the game cd after you are done however. I had a mis-aligned DC once and it was actually scratching cd's!

Now that you mention it...
My Dreamcast doesn't seem to want to load games anymore. Any ideas on what might be up? Is it the laser assembly, or possibly something with the VMU (had a friend playing it, and he said he'd filled it and deleted some files, and upon restart got the error that there was no game present)?
