I recently found this page:
Translated Page (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~PM9M-TKHS/dic/f/fantazyzone.htm&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%25E3%2583%2591%25E3%2582%25B9%25E3%2 583%2586%25E3%2583%25AB%25E8%25AA%25BF%25E3%2581%2 5AE%25E8%2589%25B2%25E5%25BD%25A9%25E3%2581%25A8%2 5E4%25B8%25B8%25E3%2581%25BF%25E3%2582%2592%25E5%2 5B8%25AF%25E3%2581%25B3%25E3%2581%259F%25E3%2581%2 58B%25E3%2582%258F%25E3%2581%2584%25E3%2581%2584%2 5E3%2582%25AD%25E3%2583%25A3%25E3%2583%25A9%25E3%2 582%25AF%25E3%2582%25BF%25E3%2583%25BC%25E3%2581%2 58C%25E5%258D%25B0%25E8%25B1%25A1%25E6%25B7%25B1%2 5E3%2581%2584%25E3%2582%25B7%25E3%2583%25A5%25E3%2 583%25BC%25E3%2583%2586%25E3%2582%25A3%25E3%2583%2 5B3%25E3%2582%25B0%25E3%2582%25B2%25E3%2583%25BC%2 5E3%2583%25A0%25E3%2580%2582%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26s a%3DG)

And I need help translating the Famicom and Sega Saturn cheats.

Here's what I think the famicom ones are (but can't get them to work)

Continue:
1) After the game over screen, wait for the title screen to appear, and press:
Down, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Up, Up, Up, A, A, A, B, B, B. Then possibly Down or hold down a button?

Alternate continue code, or a continuation of the first part?
2) Let the game go to the demo, and then when it returns to the title screen, press:
Down x5, Left x5, Up x5, A, A, A, B, B, B.
Let the game go to the demo again, and when it returns to the title screen, press: A, A, A, B, B, B, Down? Select? and Start.

Sound Test: (haven't tested it yet)
Beat the game, and when the credits start to roll, press Left x3 on controller 2. The soundtest will then appear.

Can anyone lend a hand?
This is for my Fantasy Zone website which is getting overhauled right now.

Continue 1: Down x3, Left x3, Up x3, A x3, B x3, Down, Select. Do this on the title screen after getting a Game Over.
Continue 2: After watching one demo, press Down x5, Up x5, A x3, B x3 on the title screen. Then watch another demo and press A x3, B x3, Down, Select and start on the title screen.

Damn, just had another go at this, and I still can't get any of those Famicom codes to work. Even that stupid sound test code doesn't want to work for me. (and it seems so simple, too)
I'm gonna give up on this for a little while.

But those saturn codes are probably good. I had a chance once to test the arcade mode one, and it worked like a dream.

Are you playing the NES one? Because the japanese Famicom one was totally different.

I think those continue codes are for Fantasy Zone 2 on the Famicom, not the original Fantasy Zone.

The sound test code should work in Fantasy Zone on the Famicom, but you have to press Left on Controller 2 33 times, not 3.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, the continue code IS for Famicom Fantasy Zone II:

It should probbaly read:

Continue Code:
After getting the 'Game Over' message, wait for the title screen to appear, and press:
Down x3, Up x3, A x3, B x3, Down, Select.
Watch the game demo, and when the title screen returns, press:
Down x5, Up x5, A x3, B x3.
Then watch another demo and when the title screen re appears, press:
A x3, B x3, Down, Select and Start.
You will then continue at the round where you died.

You don't need to press left at all in this code.

But...
I still can't get the sound test to work, I haven't tried it in FZ2 yet...

D'oh, even though I mapped player 2's left arrow to a specific key on my keyboard, I forgot to enable the second joystick. :embarrassed:

So, the Famicom Fantasy Zone Sound test should then be:

Sound Test:
During the ending sequence, and after the credits start rolling:
press Left x33 on controller 2. The sound test will appear after all the credits have scrolled off the screen.
Use Select to change the song, and Start to play it.

Does anyone have any idea what the "Button Line" option for the Saturn version is? It sounds odd, like it might have to do with showing you where your bombs will fall, or possibly something to do with the "radar" on the bottom of the screen.
