Gene Troopers finished in 2005? where is it?

Heres the story

at our montly engineering meeting we play games and have prizes. This month i won a round of pokeno and recived a walmart gift card. So i was checking out the walmart website (otherwise I don't like shopping there) and discovered this cool looking game called "gene troopers" that was available for pre-order. I notice the release date is 12/26/2006 so i start looking for it elsewhere since it wasnt available for purchase at walmart. To make a long story short i discover on the developers ( couldron) website that the game was available for the PC, XBOX, and PS2 and was finished in 2005. So, no store has this game or heared of it.

Any one know the deal with this game?

This game is a First Person Shooter released in PAL territories first. It was slated to come out in North America. I can't tell if it has or not. If it did, it got horrible distribution.

Gene Troopers seems like a game for collectors, because it might be rare. However it is not a game for players, atleast from what I have read. The game is supposed to have a lots of bugs and framerate problems.
