I finally got a copy of Mega Man Soccer for SNES from my uncle, but there is one problem. It was an old Hollywood Video rental, and burned (literally, with some sort of brand) into the back are the words "Property of Hollywood Video". Any ideas on how I should remove this mark? Or, should I just live with it? I am not too stupid, I know there is probably nothing I can do, but I thought I could check here. I don't want to ruin it, it took me years to get a copy. Also, is there a good way to remove sticker residue from the sticker on the back of the cart? Thanks.

Actually, believe it or not, there is a simple fix to this. First buy a Nintendo-bit off of ebay. Then buy the cheapest SNES title you can think of (Madden 94?). Remove the back off of Megaman Soccer and replace with your fresh back from Madden 94. Toss Madden in the trash.
Wooila! Brand new Megaman Soccer. By the way, how is that game? I've got over 100 SNES titles and never played it.

Thanks, I will try that as soon as I can convince my parents to let me buy something off of eBay. MMS is okay, the controls are hard to learn (though, I don't have the box or manual, so that is why, lol). I have fun with it, but it is really hard. I do recommend it, though. Thanks again!

an important note on this though
if you're into "games should remain as they were sold" then this is not a way to go, unfortunately. why? because there's a number on the back, top right corner of the back label, it's "carved" into the label. It's currently unknown what the number itself says but it might be that it has some connection to the game and if you exchange half the cart you're messing it up. If the number is followed by an A or B there's definitely a connection to the game as it tells that the game is revision 1.1 (A) or 1.2 (B)

Yeah, I am big into "original" condition, but that will be a temporary fix until I have enough money to get a replacement (like, when I have a job). But yeah, I did think of the number problem, so, I am just going to keep the original back when I replace it.

I would get something that is acidic like vinagar, bleach, Nail polish remover, alcohol, and damp a little little tincy bit on the spot where the writing is then leave it and wipe it off later or try to wipe it of with continuesly rubbing the spot.
While I say try using these I would have an adult present while doing this if you do try this.

It's not written, it's BRANDED. The plastic is melted with the wards hollywood video engraved into it.

Megaman Soccor is a cheap game to begin with so I would just deal with the way the cart. Maybe you could drop the back of the cart in some kind of lesser acidic solution or glue remover.
I would also try and use a blade/solution to get it off if I had the tools.
