I'm not quite sure what the story is. A couple of years ago, when I had never seen a production label Malagai or Gauntlet, I thought all Answer games were just chips. I know that is the case with Confrontation, and apparently there are two versions of Gauntlet around. The one on the auction is the second one I know of that looks like this.

Cheers,
Marco

Here's what I'd heard...

These games came from Pleasant Valley Video. Jim Redd had some carts, but mostly tubes of the chips. So, when the carts ran out, he'd cannibalize some other poor cart, drop the chip in, put it back together, slap on his label, and send it out. You'll see that particular handwriting a lot...

A bunch of the tubes may have gotten bulldozered with the house and/or barn he was using at the time, if the rumors are true.

And oh yeah, this may or may not be the same James Redd that was possum-glory@usa.net until recently (possum-glory claimed NOT to be PVV Jim, but given how he flaked out on shipping, I suspect that it's the same guy).

Russ:

Was this that damn seller that sold all of his stuff on ebay and had a quote about what his damn pet chicken had to say?? (not that it matters to this topic) I thought that was his ebay ID (possum-glory), but I could be wrong. I bring that up because whenever I saw those damn auctions, I wanted to shoot that F'n chicken! It was funny the first time, but not the million other times.

So what, I have a stack of those in my garage...

LMAO, just kidding! Jesus, can't you take a joke?

Whoa Marco, you live in Vancouver? Whoa, I lived there for like six months when I was twelve. Actually, I lived in Orchards, but as my grandfather would say, same shit, different pile.

I'm not positive, as I didn't really follow his auctions much, but I don't remember seeing that. Maybe someone else does?

Or it might be the other possum-glory (JerryG), but I don't remember him having a pet chicken either.

Dunno...

I think possum_glory is JerryG and posum-glory is someone else.

Well, yes... I don't know about the "-" versus "_", but if it's JUST possum_glory, it's JerryG; if it's possum-glory@usa.net, it's James Redd, who got booted.
