back in the day we had a lot of cool SNES games at the house, and I wish my brother never traded them in to get a dumb college football game. we had Zelda, Final Fantasy II, Castlevania IV, all with original booklets and stuff.

I've since sold many a great psx rpg, n64 platformer, ps2 game.some of the list includes

castlevania SOTN
final fantasy VII, VIII
Castlevania Lament of Innocence, harmony of dissonanc, cirlce of the moon, aria of sorrow
star ocean 2
alundra
wild arms

the list goes on. I recovered some of those games, I've learned my lessons with trading in games to get new shit, because it is never worth it.

The only game of any value I got rid of was IQ for the PS1. Other than that I just look back at all the chances I had to snag games that turned out to be valuable.

if we are just talking gaming stuff then the thing I most regret selling is my master system and games when I was a kid. Maybe my n64 as well not to long ago. Of course now I buy and sell video games on Ebay all the time so it's not that big a deal.
Overall the thing I most regret selling was all of my baseball cards and related stuff when I got kicked out of my house as a teen. I had every George brett card ever made, a mark grace plaque that had 8 rookie cards inside it and an entire huge box full of other cards that I sold for about 35 bucks just to go get a case of beer. Man, being a drunk teen was the worst thing that ever happened to me.

My TurboGrafx-16, which I sold about a year or two after I got it. That was stupid. I don't ever remember why I "needed" the money. :/

Umm...

Punky Skunk for PS1
Sesame Street ABC/123 for NES
Mega Man 5 for NES
Asterix(whatever the subtitle is, lol) for Game Gear(mine was CIB and i got rid of it)
and probably some other stuff too, but those are what came to mind right now.

8 or 9 years ago I boxed up my SNES and all the games I had with it, which included mint/complete copies of Donkey Kong Country, Turtles in Time, Super Mario Kart, Super Widget, Zelda, Mega Man X, Super Punch Out and a bunch of other loose games, took them to a pawn shop and was given maybe $50-60 for it all. I then went across the street to another pawn shop, and bought a PS1 with Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown, the only game they had for it. Yeah I loved the PS1, but it was an incredibly stupid move getting rid of my SNES shit for it.

Not long after I got that PS1 I found a mint longbox Resident Evil that I ended up trading in at a pawn shop for $10 a month later because I was bored of it. Yeah that was smart.

I also remember selling off a lot of complete NES games like Mega Man 5 and Mike Tyson's Punch Out to classmates when I was a kid.

Yeah, I sold my Turbo-grafx to this kid in my geometry class. At the time, I only had Victory Run and Keith Courage for it, so I thought it sucked. I guess I should have held onto it since I still haven't found another one since.

About 9 years ago, I was looking to get rid of Super Street Fighter II for the SNES. Don't really know why though. So I take it to this one pawnshop downtown, and they offered me $3 for it, and like an idiot, I went with it. In turn, I used the money on Tecmo Bowl. Good game, but now years later, my NES probably doesn't work as much as it used to, and it's also unhooked. I would've gotten a better deal from Blowout Video or whatever video store was in Walmart, as they offered me $12 for SSF2.

I was unemployed, and I let go of Dragon Force, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Burning Rangers and Shining Force 3. Still makes me cry.

I remember selling my NES with about 14 games, and 2 Advantage controllers so I could buy a Sega Genesis back in 1989. I think when you're a kid and really have no means to earn money, selling your games makes complete sense. It's not until years later that you regret the decision. At least for me I ended up buying all those NES games back over the years.

Not much really, Except trading in a couple of GBA Games, A PS2 game and two PSX Games for a $10 USED PS2 game that I sold for $5 later. Ya that was ass stupid.

Back in college I had several small sell-offs to pay rent and the like. I tthank God daily for giving me the wisdom to keep Panzer Dragoon Saga, but I made some other costly mistakes. Most of the stuff I sold back then has been replaced, but I paid quite a bit more for some things and haven't bothered to get others. They aren't particularly pricey, but I had both of the PSX Lunars in perfect condition, as well as the Arc the Lad Collection. Chose them for the chopping block because I am not a huge RPG person, but they would be nice to have now. Same goes for my mint copy of Princess Crown for Saturn. I would love to have that back.

I actually wish I had never traded in or sold anything from when I was a kid. I was the type who kept everything and kept it mint. So many SMS and SNES games went to garage sales or EB.

Biggest mistake? Even considering that I had and resold Valkyrie Profile for cost TWICE a couple years ago (yeah I know), it would have to be my Kisado. I got one back in the Turbolist days for the going price of $30 and sold it about a year later for $35. Then they became unavailable and I wanted it back. Ended up getting the LAST ONE ever sold new by TZD last year for $140. Yes, I could have modded my Duo, but I wanted that damn thing back. There is a reason Pride is a deadly sin. At least that price has already appreciated on eBay, but I will never let go of that thing again.

I remember having a garage sale when I was about 12 and I sold a bunch of NES games and I only remember what one of them was and that was a CIB Knight Rider for the NES. I have sold a bunch of other stuff and I have never regretted it but that game still make me wish I had it.

A few blunders on my record include getting rid of the following items, all of which I traded into the same shop on pretty much the same day. Needless to say, all 3 games disappeared within a few days after I brought them in. Don't ask what I got with the trade in. I don't remember but I am sure it was garbage.

-Primal Rage (longbox and near mint) for PS1. I got all of $2-4 for the trade-in. I had no idea it was uncommon. Shit, I wish I still had this one.
-King Neptune for NES. I got all of $2-3 for trade-in. Again, I had no idea it was uncommon. The game sucks, though, so I don't regret it one bit.
-Sonic Adventure 2 (mint) for Dreamcast brought me somewhere between $2-4 of trade in. I ended up getting another copy (near mint) recently for $5 shipped in a forum fire sale so no regrets here, either.

I've gotten rid of some other items I regret trading or selling but these are the only ones I can think of where I didn't get decent value in return. At least the other items I've gotten rid of, I managed to get fair/market value.

I sold some SNES games in high school, including:

-Super Mario RPG
-Donkey Kong Country (traded this for a bunch of basketball cards, including a Michael Jordan insert card that was worth $10 then... and is still worth $10 now. Ugh.)
-Secret Of Evermore
-Actraiser
-Killer Instinct
-Demon's Crest
-Mechwarrior 3050
-Wing Commander
-Wing Commander: The Secret Missions
-Dungeons & Dragons: Eye Of The Beholder
-Drakkhen
-Super Star Wars

Fortunately, I'm glad to say that most of those games are back in my collection (with the exception of the Wing Commander games, and Drakkhen, which I could never really get into, and Eye Of The Beholder, which just plain sucked).

I had to sell my entire collection in 2004, and while I was able to repurchase a small chunk of it, I do miss the 2600, 7800, Duo, Saturn and Dreamcast games I used to have, not to mention a lot of the NES, SMS, SNES and PS1 games that I was unable to get back.

Three games.

Garou: Mark Of The Wolves (Dreamcast), Dragon Warrior I + II (GBC), and Dragon Warrior III (GBC). I sold them to get money to visit some friends... and the visit ended badly. All games were pretty much mint.

I haven't been able to get them again. I probably never will. And I HATE myself for selling them.

The only thing I really regret selling is my GBC I got it a year before the GBA came out. I wanted to sell it so I could geta GBA so I took it to the gamestores and the highest offer was $22, and it was collector condition. I ended up selling it to a friend for $60 which no doubt was a great deal but they still have it and its beat to crap. It was my second game system :(

I regret selling turds like Metal Morph or Sonic 3-D Blast hey man, Sonic 3D Blast was the 2nd GREATEST game i have ever played on Genesis, (i have played well over 300 games, mastering 7 :shameful: pretty sad). i had a 2 copies of it once, and my cousin tried flushing one when he was 3, i cried that night cause it wouldnt play even after it was dried, my other copy was a factory sealed copy which was stolen from me, i was offered a pretty penny for it too, i think i was $300 for it...

Biggest Mistake -

Buying Panzer Dragoon Saga for < $50 from Game Crazy, mint and complete.

Beating the game and thinking I'd never want to run through it again.

Taking it back to Game Crazy and trading it for Phantasy Star IV, which I can't stand.

Long story short, it cost me more than $50 to repurchase PDS, the greatest stroy ever told.
