I was considering bidding on this RCA Studio II... I have always wanted one, but since when did it become so freaking expensive?!?

I hope that this is just due to a period of high demand and that the price doesn't stick. I remember a few yearsago 1972 Oddyssey systems were going for $200, but now they're back to around $100.

Please forgive my ignorance, what is NOS?

NOS=new old stock. That seller has terrible feedback and the description is awful. I doubt it's unused but the seller knows people will pay more for new then like-new.

His feedback isn't bad.

He has 58 negative feedbacks and his rating is below 99%. That equals poor customer service. My work Ebay account has double his feedback and only 8 negatives, 99.9% positive. If you have more than a few hundred feedback and your rating is below 99% you are doing something wrong.

He have only recived 6 negatives the last 12 months so its pretty good. Considering his account is like 10 years old, 58 negatives isnt bad (only average of 6 each year). When you sell alot there is always the possibility that you hit buyers that are very difficult. Some of the feedback might be revenge negatives too.

I actually e-mailed the seller a day or two before the auction closed to get more pictures and to ask how he knew it was NOS. He never replied. I looked at many of his other auctions claiming items were "New" and frankly, his own descriptions contradicted this. He had a number of boxed toys that he said were new but had problems like the former owner had etched their name on the toy, etc...I am guessing his descriptions are really exagerrated. Having said that, I would love to own a NOS RCA Studio II. Unfortunately, I have never been able to find one.
