I have to ask. The music at the end of your Wii VC NES Spectacular, what game was that from? IIRC, it was from a Genesis/Mega Drive game, maybe X-Men?
Good stuff though, I'm looking forward to more presentations.

I really welcome your contributions and reviews to the forum. We need more "non-professional" opinions done in a "semi-professional" format---if that makes any sense at all. Sites like IGN and Gamespot have a holier than though attitude that adults just don't welcome. I want a critical review without bashing the product for what it was intended to be. Do you really think that 30 year old nerds should be reviewing the new Brats game that was developed for 10 year old girls?:hmm: No, of course not. But they do it anyways.
Enough ranting. Nice work!

Cool video.

I just subscribed, having finally mustered up the energy to log in. I hope to see many more reviews, as these are great.
Do you take requests?

You're on to something good, and I look forward to the future of your show, but it needs some work (and I think you know and acknowledge this).
First, you need to put more thought into your narration. It sounds improvised, and I don't think improvisation is your strong points. I would recommend carefully writing a script and rehearsing it. As it stands, your shows aren't very informative, funny, or interesting, which is a shame because you've done a great job at choosing your content. I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say, because you're basically saying nothing at all, other than "Tecmo Super Bowl is REALLY COOL" and "Christmas Night is a good Christmas game" and "THIS VIRTUAL CONSOLE GAME EXISTS AND I PLAYED IT." You got close to something informative when you showed the playoff mode in Super Bowl, so you're obviously capable of finding compelling things to say. So, work on that!
Second, your voice work sounds really, really forced. Just relax, and speak in your normal tone. It's okay to get excited, but it sounds to me like you're trying to change your voice into some kind of gruff, sarcastic character, and it's not really working. Stop trying to be something you aren't, and just be yourself.
And third, cut out the "special" shows for a good, long while. You've done four episodes, and one of them is a gimmicky "hey guys I'm on drugs" thing. It's WAY too soon for that. The pain med episode might have been funnier if I felt like I knew you better, i.e. if I'd regularly viewed your show for a while and felt comfortable with you, and you did this to mix things up a bit. But you haven't, you threw it in too quickly. So now this drugged-up episode is, basically, my personal impression of your show, because I have very little else to go on. And the impression left on me is not very good. Sorry. That wasn't very funny at all.
So yeah, that's about it. You're off to a pretty good start, so keep going!

If anything, I sincerely hope my little show influences other people who are truly better than me to do their own show. As I keep saying, I really, really want to see a high quality video game review show on youtube. I'm not it. I probably won't ever be it. Nobody on the internet at present is it (afaik). The Game Room was it, but that was over six years ago. Somebody's gotta come forward and take the reins.
I agree completely, which is why I put so much into that reply! There's really something compelling about watching someone play a game, and I don't know what it is.
What are you using audio-wise, by the way? I've only played with Windows Movie Maker for a few minutes, is there an option in there to overlay an additional audio track?

There should be something else around that's better than Windows Movie Maker. I dunno, I used version 2 years ago and thought it was decent, but the output wasn't perfect.
For old 8-bit titles, though, it works well. I'm more of an "original soundtrack" guy, though. :)

I dunno. I use Movie Maker right now for a lot of my video stuff and it's pretty slick. Granted I've been making DVDs of stuff (flag football games for the local league, home movie transfers for family) so I'm saving it at a huge bit rate which looks awesome. Only down side is that the fades tend to slow down action in the clip, which is easily worked around.

You know, it could be that my computer sucks. ;) Anyway, sorry for derailing the topic. ^^;

Thanks again for the suggestions!
Keep pluggin' away. You may still have a chance to be that show someday. I'd give it a little more time before you rule that out possibility.

I know you defended your voice earlier when I said you were speaking unnaturally, but I think this last video proves my point. You sound much better and much more natural now.
Also, Hydro Thunder isn't emulated, it's ported from the Dreamcast version.

Mario Baby? ... You say nobody's ever played this before?
What the hell do you call THIS (http://vice.parodius.com/trans/upa.html) then?! And this if you're inclined to look :P (http://vice.parodius.com/trans/waiwai2.html).
Seriously though, you're not the first person to say that they've seen a mario baby cart. I've seen that around the internet for a few years... wonder if the cart is dumped.

Just watched the Ninja Golf vid- not much of a "review".
Advice: watch your plosives- consonants like "p", "t", etc. You tend to pop the mike & exhale oddly...
