I hope nobody minds that I'm starting the collecting milestones thread for the second year in a row.

And for anybody who doesn't know how this goes, I'm gonna quote Joe since his explanation is better than mine would be:


We've all got our milestones, whether it be "game number 1000", "complete collection x", "obtain all Activision cartridges", etc.

Each time you reach a milestone this year, enter it into this thread. It should be fun to check back in a year later to see what kind of progress we all made.

And I'll start: I reached the 630 mark (Iron Tank for the NES put me there), currently at 636 games total.

I also got my 30th Game Boy game, Pinball Fantasies. I know that doesn't say much but it used to be tough to find GB games at a reasonable price around here. In fact, most of my recent ones came from the GameCrazy 3 for $10 sale.

ok, I'm a noob... so I'm quite happy that I hit 100 PS1 games with Lunar Silver Star Story Complete.

Completed my [Super] Mario Brothers NES collection, including:

Super Mario Brothers + Duck Hunt + World Class Track Meet [Red Pants / White Shirt]

Super Mario Brothers 3

The UK / OZ exclusive was the last one I needed, following shortly behind by the Red Pants / White shirt version of the Track Meet triple cartridge.

2/12: Dubious milestone today as I found the last Pico game I "need".
8/31: Sonic Limited Edition's arrival completes my US Dreamcast collection.

I've got three milestones to share today.

-Passed the 650 mark. Adventure Island for the NES put me there. With the other stuff I got today I'm at 652 total.
-60 NES games, thanks again to Adventure Island.
-40 N64 games, thanks to Vigilante 8. Currently at 41. I actually reached this one earlier this month, but I didn't feel that it warranted its own post.

I thought I had 200 NES games a while ago, but as time goes on I picked out at least 15 doubles from my collection... Now i've got it listed on RFGeneration to make sure that doesn't happen anymore :)

Recent milestones:

-I got my 720th game last week, thanks to Championship Bowling on the NES. I'm currently at 728.
-I got my 80th Genesis game today, thanks to Atomic Robo-Kid.
-I got my 60th PlayStation game around the end of last month, thanks to Driver 2. I'm currently at 62.
-I got my 60th Gamecube game earlier this month, thanks to Tomb Raider: Legend.
-I got my 80th NES game at the beginning of the month, thanks to Vice: Project Doom. I'm currently at 88 and have a goal to get 100.

Completed my US Milton Bradley Microvision handheld collection. All titles and the unit itself have boxes and instructions.

Up to 768 NES games. Only 6 more to go.

2 Odyssey 2 games left to have all games and the system in boxes with instructions.

Finished my US Virtual Boy collection getting everything with boxes and instrutions.

Surpassed the 250 mark for US Game Gear games. Only 9 to go.

I got my 100th NES game today. The honor goes to a Zelda II gold cart, which coincidentally, was also the 100th game added to the Wii Virtual Console. I'm currently at 101 with the other stuff I got today.

I also got my 160th SNES game last week, which was Doom. Currently at 161 there.

I also got my 750th game, thanks to Final Fight 2 for the SNES.

200 games for a console twice (Dreamcast / PlayStation)
100 games for a console three times (DC / PS plus PlayStation 2)
50 games for a console eight times (DC / PS / PS2 plus GameCube / Xbox / Mega Drive / N-Gage / Nintendo 64)

I've also now got over 750 sealed games for various consoles, out of almost 1000 games in total. I had hoped I would've reached the 1000 mark by last Xmas, but seems more of a target for this Xmas, which should be achievable if I buy just one game per week

Ideally, i'd like to have at least 50 games for all of the consoles that I currently own. I feel my PlayStation and PS2 collections could be more extensive though, and there's still a lot of games I am missing. I'm happy with my Xbox and GameCube collections, and anything else is purely "Filler" material. I feel there's a few more N64 titles I could have, many of which are first party classics, but they come in their own time...

I would love to own a full UK N-Gage collection, and i'm only a handful of titles away (Four more titles to go!). I am also trying to go for a complete PAL Dreamcast collection too (Yes, still!), but i'm about 50-60 games away from achieving that.

Just hit 500 total today, with my order from the Play-Asia summer sale. Includes a few region dupes, if that matters.

If anyone's interested, #500 (or at least, what I'm counting as #500) was Tall Twins Tower on import PS1, the 2-player sequel to Tall Infinity. Been after this one for quite a while, and figured for a Big Round Number, I could splurge a bit. :)

Now to see if I can make it until CGE without buying any more...

Just hit game #30 this weekend for my SNES
I like to think it was Mega Man X that pushed me over 30, but I also picked up a few other games at the same time.

I should hit 200 games pretty soon, but I'm broke again so it might be a while :P

For a very short time towards the beginning of June, I believe I was at or slightly over 1500 games. Then I sold about 60-80 games or so. Since then, I've bought a few here and there, and I believe I'm about 40 or 50 short of 1500. Also, once a certain large order of NES games gets here, I won't be far from 500 different US NES games (and I very recently crossed 500 total NES carts in my collection :) ).

Finally reached over 3,000 games (3040ish last count)! :)
1 cartridge away from completing my US SMS collection
3 carts away from a complete INTV collection! (which is pretty much complete at this point.. I'll go broke before I can get the last 2 at least)
and finally got an RCA Studio 2 so I can play these fine carts I've been collecting.

I hit 602 Unique Games on Monday. With doubles, variants, and TI-99 (not listed at RFGEN so not currently a part of my total) I'm sure to be at 650.

The "big" parts of my collection so far are Genesis (135) and NES (122). Not bad of a start I would say.
