Well most of the big titles I see these days are pretty complex in their designs , they are mostly ports of games where you would be at home and have more time to play games that were originally intended for home consoles , rather then a quick session on the go. I was wondering what do people prefer for a quick gaming fix on the go for psp.
Something that isnt complex , fast loading and quick fun.

Every Extend Extra is pretty darned simple. If you're into racers, Outrun 2006 and Initial D both offer excellent pick-up-and-play gameplay (Initial D actually loads faster than its PS2 predecessor), seeing as they're both based directly on arcade games.

How about Loco Roco? Also I really like Classics Collection Reloaded (not to be confused with Capcom Classics Remixed). The PSP version of Lemmings is great too.

Lumines is a pretty fast pickup game. Same goes with Ultimate Block Party. Me & My Katamari is pretty good and easy to play once you get used to the controls, although there isn't a ton of game variety like there was in the console versions, but that hasn't stopped me from playing the hell out of it.

all the ones mentioned are good examples, personally id be hard pressed to name that many... i played xmen legends as a pick up and play game, since you can just shut off the console and turn it back on when your ready.
mostly though id recommend using the excellent emulators =]

Davidbrit's not kidding on Extend Every Extra. That game is like crack.
There's a PC version of it, should you wanna test it out.
And it's free, to boot!

Pinball Hall of Fame is one of the unsung heros on PSP. It's unique (not the same old ROMs you've been playing on your computer for years), and it's pick-up-and play friendly.

I kinda liked Exit and Mercury too...though I think I'm the ONLY one that liked Mercury. Gradius is nice to just pick up and play as well.

Personally I enjoy GTA: Vice City Stories. I know it's not what you're after, but it does load pretty fast and I can do as little as I want (like a side-mission, or trying to find baloons, or whatever) which is cool.
I disagree with Lumines BTW. It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but it's never a *quick* game. Not unless you're doing the puzzle stuff (I normally play the main game, which takes longer to finish than a quick GTA mission).
I like Ultimate Ghosts 'n' Goblins for a quick fix. Or Burnout Legends. Or Gradius Collection. Or Mercury (though not the sequel).
Pinball is good but I found I tired of it quickly so I sold it.

Platypus is fairly simple 2D shooter that is fun, but you might want to swing with the Gradius Collection first

Oh I completely forgot , Dj max thats a simple game but this game is very impressive and shows off what the system can do. Its a music ddr style game but you use the buttons to input certain sections of the song playing its kind of like a music maker but all you really did was push commands in.
