I couldn't find an official Rainbow Six thread, so I hope this topic is cool with everyone...

I just picked up Rainbow 6: Vegas for my 360 yesterday and had an absolute blast playing it last night with a ton of strangers. This was the first time in a LONG time that I've played a game on Live and was a total newb but actually welcomed. My teamates even gave me a tour of the map while playing. How often does that happen?

I would love to get a group of DP games in a team and play together. The amount of actual coordination and strategy that you can implement is amazing. Anyone else up for this? What are you impressions of the game so far? :guitar: Gamertag: Blatt

R6:Vegas is probably the best online FPS on Live right now. I'll always pick a "real-world" shooter over a sci-fi or horror shooter any day. The "cover" system and repelling/fast rope just add to the experience and set it apart from other online FPS's. I'm to the point in R6 where I've memorized most of the multiplayer maps. Once you get a good handle on where people usually camp, you'll be able to clean up the enemies on most rounds. Also, a headset is essential to play R6 online.

Heybtbm, I totally agree. I enjoy fragfests like Halo and Gears like lots of people do. But I just feel most of the time its luck and map memorization that wins matches. Rainbow has such a great deal of thinking that it almost doesn't feel like an FPS. I personally prefer 3rd person action games, and was pleasantly suprised with the cover system. It is much easier to use than Gears.

I'll join ya. Sorry I didn't play with you last night but I was busy messing around with this modded Xbox that I just got. I'll be up for a few games tonight though.

Is there clan options in multiplayer? We should start up a DP clan if there is.

I've been playing this religiously these last few days. Send me an invite and we can do co-op story or terrorist hunt. Gamertag is Melf.

I just finished the PC version myself. Great game, but there is one thing that disapointed me, the ending. Small spoiler ahead, drag the mouse over the text below to read.

The ending is To be Contunied. The 3 last PC games i've played, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Runaway 2 and R6 Vegas have all been TBC at the end. It feels like you're playing a half made game, really sux.

Other than this the game gives you entertaining. I also like the way you can hide behind objects. R6 Vegas is a must try for everyone who like FPS and especialy those who liked the previous R6 games. I've played a few of them and this was the most entertaining imo :)

Ok, my wife is not going to be home until 9pm tonight. That means its Vegas time, baby! I agree we need to get a clan together. Buehler? Anyone?

Anyone here still playing Vegas? I've pretty much been playing it non-stop since I got it. Only thing that sucks is that I get stuck playing with a bunch of random people against good clans, so I loose most of the games I play online.

Would be nice to team up with some people here who know what they are doing and win a few games. Otherwise, I'll probably be stuck at Staff Sergeant rank forever. GT is Norkusa.

I'm on daily, so send me an invite if you want to play. I'm finishing up story mode and single-player terrorist hunt on realistic, and they're really challenging.

I could use some Vegas training myself.
