This is a bit of a plug, but also asking for advice...

I normally hide over at AtariAge, but I am selling off some more of my non-Atari video game collection and have a question that some of you might know.

I am selling this lot of Sega Saturn stuff:
http://cgi.ebay.com/HUGE-SEGA-SATURN-LOT-10-GAMES-VIRTUA-STICK-GUN-ETC_W0QQitemZ130066022349QQihZ003QQcategoryZ31583Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I have been asked a question about this auction asking me to sell the boxed pad in a side deal (which, of course, I won't do).

My questions:
Is this item really THAT rare?
How much do they normally go for? I haven't found an ended Ebay auction (or current one for that matter) with the game pad in it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think it will go very high BUT I have never seen one personnally as minty as yours.
It's pretty rare, yeah.

Out of curiousity, what are you expecting/looking to get for all of that?

I see boxed japanese Controllers from time to time. However i think this is the first time i actually see US Boxed ones. Probably worth a bit but not too much i believe.

depends whether you can find a collector who is trying to complete his/her collection. ^__^
from memory neither PAL nor US boxed pads cost that much but those were couple of years ago when I was into my 3rd Saturn collecting binge...

Thanks for the help.

I sold off just about all my non-atari stuff over the last year and am
current gen games and Atari only now (with the exception of my Vectrex).

These auctions just about clean me out of my original stuff.

The control pad was bought as a second controller. This was around the 'settling down' time in my life and the days of a bunch of people coming over to party and play games was quickly winding down. If that pad was EVER used, it was used maybe once or twice. (My wife wasn't really into Saturn...)

Anyway, I was hoping to get well into $200 range with this auction, but Ebay has been pretty unpredictable lately. Who knows.

<shameless plug>
I also have Panzer Dragoon Saga
A brand new Shining Force III (still sealed)
Panzer Dragoon
Mystaria

All ending Sunday night.
</shameless plug>

Thanks again for the info. I was worried that I was selling something mega-rare that should have been sold in a separate auction. From what I gather here though, I am a little less concerned.

I see boxed NOS Saturn controllers all of the time. Not rare at all.

...nos?

A term that I just learned recently that means "New Old Stock."
