Apparently Taito Legends 2 (US) is never coming out, and I have read conflicting reports that the UK version will/will not play on a US Xbox.

Does anyone have it and can say for sure?

Hope you get a answer eventually, since I'd be interested in importing it (Wish they'd just bring them over here so we could get the PS2 and Xbox versions since they have different lineups). Also I keep checking a thread at the Empire Interactive board where the same question was asked, but have yet to see any confirmations.

Nearly all Xbox games are region protected. The only exception I can think of is the Street Fighter Collection that accidently came out in japan without any region protection.

I highly doubt that they will make it playable in other regions, but I guess it is possible. You could always mod your xbox, which isn't too expensive, and it will open up another world of possibilites for your xbox, besides making it region free.

A mod to the Xbox would allow PAL games from the UK to play correctly on a US Xbox and be outputted in a format compatible with NTSC televisions?

If so I'll have to look into it, I've been wanting Richard Burns Rally and Taito Legends 2 but they won't be coming to the US.

Most games should, however I have encountered a few rare PAL games that refused to display properly on my NTSC 60 hz television.
