Would a true Mad Max game be worthwhile?

If done right, like Scarface, they could show what happened between Mad Max and the Road Warrior and the Road Warrior and Thunderdome!

I'd settle for a 2-d Budget fighter called "ThunderDome" Where the only characters you can be are Max, Master, Blaster, and Auntie Entity. Random weapons would appear, and there would be chanting in the background "2 shall enter, 1 shall leave!"
