Darkseed SAMPLE playstation ... need some help

So I was goin through some boxed away games and came across this today. At the time I bought it I didn't even notice it said sample on it, or that it possibly was a sample copy sent out to reviewers or what not. Since I could find nearly no information or find any pictures on the regular release of the game I have nothing to compare it to. Any help or insight would be highly appreciated, thanks!

things to notice: Sample written on the center of the playstation disc
upper left corner of the cd case (not for sale) and sticker with numbers.

(The manual seems to be normal, but I included a picture anyhow)

I think this is either a review copy like you said, or a copy to be displayed in store kiosks. I've seen a couple others like this on ebay before (different games though), but I can't remember what they were said to be.

I have the release version of Darkseed, and the only differences are, as you said, the writing on the CD and the sticker on the back. Nice find, though. Too bad the game itself isn't that great.
