Vintage Computing & Gaming just put up an interesting article about the whys and wherefores of plastic discoloration (http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/189), and what to do about it. An interesting read.

Interesting article. I collect Lego, which is also made of ABS plastic, and sometimes I'll buy a used lot and end up finding a lot of yellowed pieces. I've heard that bleaching can help, but if you do it too long it can make the plastic really brittle or something like that.

I read that, but it was more educated conjecture than scientific proof.
