Does it have S-Video out? And what is the going cost.

I was about to open a question about the LA too, but I'll piggyback mine onto yours if you don't mind.

Why can't you use a Arcade Pro card with the LA TG-16 module? I've been told that it gets stuck in the slot. How is the Arcade Pro card different from any other Hu-Card?

System has no S-video out but it does have a digital audio out. I think the systems still hover around $150- $175 and the games between $20- $60ish

Long time ago a store was selling new laseractive games for $10 each. It closed a while ago though.

I'm not sure about the arcade pro card though.

Apperently you can easily(?) add S-video to the unit: http://www.gamesx.com/misctech/laseractive.htm

I'm not sure if I'd be game enough to try it, but it doesn't look too difficult. Unfortunetly it doesn't do anything for the games, only the LD player. Too bad...

Have you seen an Arcade Card Pro? It's THICK. Like the System Card 3.0 - there are extra chips inside that thing. I guess the LaserActive TG-16 module wasn't built with as tall of a slot and you really have to jam the Arcade Card Pro in there. I haven't had a problem with mine though. It fits in (snugly) but I never use it, I'm not that big of a fighting game fan that the Arcade Card Pro games obviously lean toward.

If you can find one, the "green diving board" HuCard adapter works best for the Arcade Card (as well as SF II or any of the other super-thick cards). Only problem with it is that one little tap will make the game reset.

Is that the same as a Kisado adapter? Mine is orange not green, but I think it's the same (it sticks out a long way).

The difference is in the way the HuCards get inserted... On the Kisado, you insert the card backwards, then stick the whole thing in the slot. This arrangement won't work on the LaserActive. The green diving board has an edge connector on the end. The whole thing hangs out of your TG module about 3 inches. Look at it funny and it looses contact.

Not really... the topic was "question about laseractive". I think we've been staying pretty on-topic :D

"And what is the going cost."

If you have to ask, you can't afford it. :D
