i bought several of these for some reason, then found out when looking at them recently they are all different. i have three of them(all i could find) but none are the same. they are model #SCPH-1121, SCPH-1061(which has three pins that plug into the back of the system) and SCPH-10071(which has a ridiculously long cord). seems odd they would redesign this thing enough times to warrant this much of a difference in the model numbers, but i expect there has to be more than three versions considering these numbers. i recognize they kept removing ports from the back of the system, but two of these have the same connector(the same port as the A/V cords use), so i dont know why theyd need to change it. anyone have any ideas?

I've got no clue as to how many different RF switches they actually made but i'd guess with each major console revision and major by meaning the Launch system, then the Dual Shock System, the 9000 Series (the $99 buck I/O door less version) and maybe a different one for the PSOne and that would be it. At least in my mind.

Sony, at least during the PSone era and somewhat into the PS2 era had this severe issue with sticking to one design. There's about 4 different RF adapters that I can think of:
Original Launch - Boxed, 'short version', 3 prong
2nd Launch - Boxed, 'long box version', 3 prong
Middle Life -, Black Carded, 'short version', AV Port
PSOne - Green Carded, 'long version', AV Port
I know the multi-taps have 3 variations (Grey Launch, Grey Missing Numbers, PSOne White).
The SCH numbers don't conform to one accessory, but all hardware and stuff, so it would be spread out across everything. I used to have a link to some Japanese guy's page that had almost the entire SCPH thing spelled out, but now I can't find it.
Yep, even the goddamn accessories have variants.
