360 controller problem

When i start my game up it does the "reconnect controller" about 8-10 times before it stops, then its fine till i turn it off. Whats wrong with my controller or 360? Has this happened to anybody else before?

Ok its actually 15-20 times today, right now im trying to play Call Of Duty 2 and its driving me nuts! I can barely even walk!!

replace/charge batteries

Ok I thought the controller would last a bit longer..It was the batteries, thanks poofta, i dug around and found some good ones..

Get the rechargable pack. You'll be replacing batteries constantly otherwise.

Yep mine did that when the batteries were weak.
