Any other GUN peripheral for 3d0?

Originally I acquired a 3d0 FZ-1 model and was excited at first however I quickly soured on it because it was really slow, no not the typical slow but really slow, had trouble booting and skipping video etc. Being new to the system I didn't realize it was faulty. Well I recently acquired a FZ-10 model, I like the built in memory manager and everything boots up quickly and runs smooth so I am actually enjoying it now. Some of the FMV gun games have impressive video but I find using the controller a pain. I know American Laser has a gun Peripheral but so far the ones I have found on Ebay seem a little high priced. I was wondering was that orange gun the only ever produced for the system, if I get one I think I might paint it black.

Also, would there be an adaptor or anyway to hook up a gun peripheral from another perhaps more common system like NES of ps1? Any help direction would be appreciated. Being in Canada I'd have to pay even more on Ebay so if anyone here has an extra 3d0 gun I would be happy to pay a fair price as long as it includes shipping thanks so much.

I'm 99.9% sure that was the only gun released for it.

and I think no other gun works (I remember people trying to mod a sega/sega cd blue gun but to no avail).

yup, thats the only one ever made, and btw, its a pretty damn rare accessorie to begin with, which is why it beckons a higher than usual price on the bay.

sometimes you cant even see them on ebay. the sega cd version is also damn rare, and its the only gun that works with the american laser games sega cd games. the konami gun doesnt work for them.

there is a 1 player and a 2 player version of the orange gun for the 3do :)

I have the Super Nintendo controller adapter for the 3DO, and I was hoping that a SNES gun would work on the 3DO, but unfortunately that isn't the case. However, I still recommend the SNES/3DO controller adapter to anybody, cause the diagonals are much better than the standard 3DO controller. Especially with a game like Way of the Warrior.

I'm suprised that you can't hack a Sega CD gun to work with it. Seems like you can hack just about anything.

Even the emulator and the PSX-to-3DO doesn't support light gun. And neither is the mouse a substitute!

yeah the american laser games games used special coding that would ONLY pick up their own gun.

the ALG games on sega cd only work with the ALG gun, and noth the konami one. and the ALG gun wont work on konami games.
