Odd DS Wi-Fi problem -- finicky games?

Hey,

I've got an odd problem with my DS Wi-Fi. Having been recently moved into a house with its own wireless DSL connection, I inserted Clubhouse Games into my DS and reconfigured it to use the router. Using the automatic setup and inserting my WEP key, everything worked dandy. However, when I put in Mario Kart DS, it finds the router okay, but it can't connect at all. The settings are all exactly the same, and the only difference is that it works with Clubhouse Games and not with Mario Kart DS. Anybody know what gives? Any help would be appriciated! Thanks!

I had the EXACT same problem with Mario Kart DS. Just keep trying, it took me about an hour trying every few minutes. Not sure what it is about that game. It gave me fits when I first set up wifi on it too. Animal Crossing, Metroid, Contact, Tony Hawk, no other ones give me this problem.

Finally figured it out. After brainstorming with my brother (who is much better with the technical side of things than I am), we figured out that our certain router has some extra juju that needs to be configured in order to be used with the DS. Using that information, we set up the DS according to the instructions on Nintendo's WFC webpage, and now both games work great!

Chrome: Do you happen to have a 2Wire router, by any chance?

Nope, I've got the standard Linksys. Mine worked with every game except Mario Kart. I just kept getting disconnected with MK.

Hey, I have a 2WIRE and a WiFiMAX and both are giving me problems trying to connect my Wii and DS to them. I was eventually able to hook up my DS to the 2WIRE, but my Wii still won't connect. Anyone have any ideas?
