On one hand, I think this is good news because it opens up many more possibilites. But on the other hand, I can't help but know that this is another step towards "retail releases" only being available for download.

Thats cool now maybe we'll see some more "larger" arcade games
Microsoft should grab for some Metal Slug multiplayer goodness

Ugh, I don't know I like that trend. It just pushes it closer to putting Retail games on live to d/l.

Metal Slug is already confirmed (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/metalslug/news.html?sid=6158496&mode=recent) for XBLA in 2007. I think multiplayer is a foregone conclusion.

Castlevania came in at over the limit. Originally they said that they would make exceptions to the 50MB for exceptional titles. They must have decided to make it fair to everyone; maybe they had numerous requests from developers. I think it is a good move. It will allow them to accomodate many of the CD based games. Does this me a 256MB memory card?

This can only mean a bigger hard drive soon. the 360s current (20gb = 13gb) won't go far with content getting bigger :P

Not to mention that their whole "IPTV on 360" idea will really suck with only 13GB worth of space.

Now someone tell SNK to port Samurai Shodown 6 to the 360.

i like how the article has a link to an EB games page with a 256 MB X360 memory card for $59.99......at that price, who would buy it....who wouldn't just spend a little extra and buy a hdd (core user) or buy a spare hdd for transport (premium user).....
