I took my Japanese games out of storage for a bit to play around with them and take some pics. Pretty much everything is from 1981-1986 besides some of the Disk System games. I haven't figured out where to draw the line on those. www.videogamecollectors.com doesn't seem to be working at the moment so I'll just post the pics here. Hope that's okay.

The game converter is most likely a 60 to 72 pin converter, used to play Famicom games on NES. It can be 72 to 60 pin too, but judging by the ribbon thingie (its there so you can pull it out of the NES easaly, i have one myself :)) i'd say its a 60 to 72 pin converter. Dont know what the thing in the middle is tho.

Nice collection btw! :)

Nice stuff man :)
An original SG-1000 has been top of my wants list for a couple of years now. How much did the Tsukuda Q-Bert set you back? Can't have been cheap unless you scored it in the wild over there...

@RCS_Techie-How's Okinawa for classic game stuff? I've only been to Tokyo. Do you have many flea markets and recycle shops?

@jajaja-Yeah I meant the thing in the middle. You are correct that is a Famicom to NES converter. I bought it attached to a pirate Famicom cart in a rental case from Canada. Weird huh?

@anagrama-I've never found any SG-1000 stuff in the wild in Japan. It's easy to find at places like Super Potato and Mandarake but it's expensive. I bought someones collection on ebay once and I got Q*Bert from Ianoid in a trade years ago.
