Are there any Dig Dug commercials besides this one?

http://www.gamespot.com/atari2600/puzzle/digdug/video_player.html?id=dXI1njSo5bgJuzY

I have one on 16mm film that I bought years ago that I've never watched. I think the seller said it won a Clio award or maybe it was just nominated. Also I thought it had a military theme. I've always meant to have it transferred to some other format so I can watch it. I have a 16mm projector but I don't trust it enough to not ruin the film. Anyone here have equipment to transfer to dvd or digital video or whatever?

Thanks, y-bot

p.s. I don't know if this has been posted before but here is a Pitfall commercial with Jack Black:

It looks like it only costs $9.00 to get a 50' 16mm film transfered so maybe I'll dig it out and get it done soon. I added a link to the Jack Black Pitfall ad to my original post.

I got it out of storage and I'm pretty sure it's a different commercial. I looked at the first 10 feet or so and it starts with a 2600 console and then shows several different single people then a screenshot of Dig Dug. It's hard to see but it doesn't look like the one on that website. I'll get it transfered to dvd and then I'll probably ask for some more help on how to put it online. I'm fairly computer illiterate.

There is another Dig Dug commercial out there.

I remember when I went to see E.T. back in 82, one of the trailers was for the Dig Dug arcade game. I just remeber some guy wearing sunglasses, and the line "Use your pump like a bazooka".

I cannot find this trailer anywhere.

Actually Y-bot, you may have the very one I'm thinking about. It had new wave music, and everyone was dressed all early 80's 'cool'. I seem to remember a psuedo-military theme, as well... It was for the arcade version. It's not the one you posted, stonic.

This commercial actually ran in only in movie theaters. I only saw it when I saw ET. I never saw this commercial on TV. So it's sitting in a tin, somewhere, and someone out there has to have a copy. I'm truly hoping it's you, Y-bot. I'd love to see this again!

I hope you post it, if you get it transferred!

I will definitely post it publicly in some way. I'm sending it off tomorrow. What you describe sounds like how it was described when I bought it. 16mm would make sense to be shown at theatres. If it was for tv it would probably be 3/4" video. It looks like an Atari 2600 at the start but it's hard to see holding it up to the light and squinting. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Once you get that bad boy transferred onto tape, I'd be more than happy to help you transfer it to whatever kind of file format you'd like.

Hi Earl! Thanks for the offer. Stonic has also offered to do it. I sent it off today to be transfered to dvd. I'm so excited to finally see it. I bought it in 1998 or 1999.

@diskoboy-I'm sure it's the one you're thinking of. There are military commander type people in a planning room and a band with silver suits playing a rad Dig Dug song. I'm sending the DVD I have to stonic today and he's gonna put it online for me.

Y-bot - you are god!!!! (EDIT - and I gots to give all kind of props to stonic for transferring it)

That was percisely the commercial I was talking about! Thanks for posting it!

I guess the guy in the sunglasses I was thinking of was the guy in the war room with the thick glasses. I don't know how I remembered that commercial so vividly when I only saw it once in the summer of 1982.... :)

EDIT - Now I wanna go out and Buy an E.T. DVD, rip it to my HD, then edit a DVD where this trailer runs before the movie. ;) :)

You're welcome. I can't believe it took me 7+ years to get it transfered.
