I have the device that lets you play home consoles on a PC Monitor, but is there one that lets you play it on a laptop monitor. I'd really be interested to know if there is one.

You need a USB or fierwire video capture device.
There's a product called Gamebridge that's marketed specifically for what you need. There are other, more generic capture devices, but some of them have a delay that makes gaming impractical.

Do you have a link to a store that has the Gamebride? I'd appreciate it. I just want to make it clear; there is no need for a TV whatsoever right?

Or you can get a TV tuner device and hook up older game consules to it, recording your game as well. Good times there.

I just want to play them on my laptop. I'm in Europe. I have my laptop with me, and I don't want to go through the hassle of having to buy a TV when I know that I will return to the US someday. So this is for purely playing consoles on a laptop monitor not recording. And I found a site that has it:

That's pretty much what the Gamebridge does. There's actually a version with a tv tuner built in.
As I mentioned before, though, you have to be careful when choosing a video capture/tuner adapter for gaming, since many have latency (delay) issues.
The Gamebridge has very little latency, which is why I suggested it.

I bought the 1410, only for consoles that I have RF connectors.

Oh yeah I have a G4 Ibook. So will this work on it?

Oh. I don't think it works on Macs. Sorry.

You'd have to check their site, I guess.
You need some kind of software to display the video output. I'm sure there's a way to do it, but it might be tricky.
You might be better off finding a similar device with low latency that has OSX support.

Wow, that's really cheap. The last time I checked they were selling for $80 and $100 respectively. I wonder if fry's ships to canada...

I own a Gamebridge 1410 and I love it! Solves a lot of disputes with the wife over TV rights hehe. Not really any noticeable latency that I've seen. The initial video quality is passable, but the recorded video quality has a noticeable drop. All in all, tho, definitely worth $20

Nice. I have been looking for a device for recording simmed matches on Fire Prowrestling R and this looks to be a good and affordable way to do it. Do both versions work with a PS2? Or is it only the 1400? I am more interested in being able to play all of my systems, including my NES, so would the 1410 be better for me?

the 1410 has RF in, so if you have systems that don't output composite or s-video, it's the one to get.
either one is fine for PS2

Wow, one of these would be great. Does anyone have any info on mac compatibility, or a model that works for macs?

Adaptec stopped making these some time ago; I got a 1410 last fall at Fry's for $24.99. They had dozens on the shelf and more up at the registers. If there's a Fry's store nearby, it ends up being cheaper to buy it in person than online. Plus, it's easier to return if you don't like it.

So far, I've used it to back some of the stuff off of my old DirecTiVo box before I upgraded. It did a decent job of capturing video on my notebook, I didn't notice any lag at all. The Adaptec spec page says that it's not compatible with the Mac OS. Here's a link to the spec page:
