View Full Version : Anyone know where to find this SNES Game Drawer?

This is perhaps the only SNES official game drawer that was made? I know the 12 and 24 count N64 drawers are in abundance, and that they do hold SNES games. However, this drawer (I think) is the only one which can hold the game in side the SNES clear plastic dust cover. I have seen one on ebay in the last year, and can't find anything at all on line. Any help out there?

Thanks

I'm not sure where besides Ebay to get them, but you are right that they hold the game inside the dust cover. Very handy. I have 2, I got them several years ago on Ebay. If I get the chance, I could take a picture of one open filled with carts, if that would be helpful to you.

I have a few storage drawers and hanging units that house my loose games. They are quite nifty but make your collection look smaller, but also help out with space limitations on shelves.

The one that's pictured has 2 rows and I believe 12 columns to house 24 loose SNES games. There's also a slim one that's 12 rows 1 column and is of course for smaller spaces. They usually come with sticky pads on each corner so you can stack them and open an upper unit without slidding off. They have similar units that hold N64 games too, which I own 3 which are over flowing. They also have little hangable shelves for GEN and SNES carts and they work well. I have a few of those too and have seen someone on here (can't recall who) that has them mounted on their walls, and it can look good where shelves can't fit.

I personally talked to some store owners in my area that said they get these units in from time to time and they hold onto them for me when people trade it. I get new storage units every month or so, and sometimes they pop up at pawn shops for $2. One day I'll build a custom shelf to house my loose carts and buy some plastic cases to keep them safe and out of dust but until then these are your friends.

That would be cool. Thanks.

How about build one? OK it won't be "official" but with skill and a few tools you can custom build cases to fit any game/system combinations you can possibly imagine. I make lovely 100 cart holding wall mounted units for NES games. I'm sure a variation of my design would fit SNES as well. Just a thought.

You could also try using those old vhs holder things that is what I use to hold my SNES games they may not fit snug but it does the job, and they usually have a bounty of them at goodwill.

Some photos of the case, with games. Oh boy. Hopefully these are of decent enough quality to look at!

I like these cases. But the drawers will come out if you open them too far, so, when retrieving games, don't just let the draw sit there without you supporting it if it is extended like I have it on the floor. And, the games are somewhat loose if you don't have the plastic cartridge covers on them. The case is really better if you have those covers.

Oh, and I don't know what that is on the bottom of that case. Looks like leftover discoloration from tape or something. That's how it was when I got it. It's not sticky/grungy, just discolored.

My brother-in-law has something like that, but it fits n64 games as well. It's pretty nice :)

I've seen those on the flea markets near my home several times, but they usually want like twenty bucks for it.

What in the hell? I'd tell them $5 and if they wanted more than that, just laugh. They really aren't worth $20 unless someone is insane and far too lazy to build one. For $20 you can make a really nice custom shelf/storage unit, excluding the cost of tools.

I know. What do you expect? Mexican sellers are usually idiots when it comes to anything Nintendo-related. I should know. ;P

Thanks for the larger pics, Hypno. I thought I was looking at a Gamecube, that first pic was so tiny!
