I know this affects very few of us collectors, but my favorite game store chain, Rhino, is now turning into GameStop/EB. This saddens me deeply considering Rhino would carry almost everything from NES to Dreamcast, and often had some good finds at reasonable prices.
There is a good thing though: when I was visiting a few days ago (the same time I found out they were bought) there were a few people getting some good deals because they were using the cheap GS prices for the semi-rare copies that sat at Rhino because they were at an ebay price. So if you have one near you, it may be worth your while to stop in and see if they have anything of value.
(FYI, if this is only my local Rhino, and not chainwide, I apologize)
Man, and that was my first true game store too.
:(
