Wow. I can't believe someone actually made carts!! I almost want to spend the $25 to play the original Earthbound like it was meant to be played. Has anyone bought anything from him? This seems to good to be true...

Nothing wrong with this item being sold on e-bay..but definitly false advertising..someone should report this bozo, his last one actually sold.

What also seems funny is the "'04" copyright in his "Zelda Shin Densetsu" auction which is false for such a NES game. Especially since he posted the same eeprom picture in his fake proto auctions.

I sent a message to this douche of a seller telling him that he was falsely advertising these items to scam people. He replied with pathetic insults like "you are trailer trash" and a bunch of other crap that didn't make any sense.
I suggest others do the same and try and make this guy feel like an ass for trying to sell reproductions as legit protos.

What do you guys expect ... Its Ebay
Everything is rare on Ebay :)
As with everywhere else people buy things ... Caveat Emptor.... "Let the Buyer Beware"
Personally I find auctions like this one hillarious, if youre dumb enough to buy these sort of things without looking into them first then you may just be a bigger idiot than the guy selling it.

Hmm. Copyright infringement, trademark infringement; not good stuff all around.
Anyway, reported. I don't see the utility in writing the seller to go "LOLZ you are teh hacx, LOLZ." Much better for us all to get this pushed back into the gray market.

I sent him a message like 2 days ago saying it wasnt a prototype, but a homemade ROM hack, and that it wasnt rare and everyone could buy a copy.
I got this reply:
Ok sounds good thanks for LOoking I paid WAY more and they Sell for Even more then that!
Still.. he have them up. Im sure he listed that other Zelda game and SMB2 Japan after i got the answer. Atleast he didnt write prototype in the SMB2j auction.

I see the repro's start hitting eBay again. I hope everyone knows there are repro sites that sell these games for less then $30.

eBay pull reported auctions for betas and protos, so someone reported him.
I cant believe he's selling something he bought for $25 for $120?
But I agree with Candycab, if you don't look into it.. then your very dumb..

I saw a swedish collector buying the SMB2j he had out for like $129. I sent him a PM saying it wasnt a proto and i told him it was false advertising. Right after i sent the PM i saw that the seller didnt list this as a proto. Had to send another PM to apologize hehe. But $129 is ALOT for a repro! :\

WOW! This always happens, every year, right after Christmas (trying to pay the bills??).
The worst part about it is the workmanship on those reproductions!! That's horrific work! Who ever made them should put their soldering iron down and get a new hobby!
- wires all over the place
- single strand 30 gauge wire used! (terrible wire to use to transfer data!)
- exposed EPROMS!
- long runs
- dirty pins! (the person didn't even bother to clean the pins!)
Arggg....
