I've got a problem buyer. At first he was just annoying. He sent cash from Sweden and freaked out everyday after 2 days it wasn't here. While we were waiting for payment we listed another one (we have a box of them) and he freaked out that we were selling his game (we also have over 200 all good feedback, at least 5-6 of them Lunar 2's).
Got his money, sent the item (we paid extra $3 for shipping, no big deal) he gets it, thinks it is great, leaves us good feedback:
Praise : The Lunar 2 game is sealed as stated in the item description.

Then a few minutes later we get this email:
Hi,
I just opened the game, and the game CD's were not correctly in their
place, and look sort of..marked. Nor scratched but have circled marks.
Im not sure this will affect game play, but I will take the game to a
game store and have it checked. I will get back to you if it's something
wrong with it.

Brian told me that not only is the box sealed, but the disks inside are factory sealed too. He had to open both of them.

He emailed again today with this:
I checked with the local game store, Tradition, and according to them
the odd circle marks that are on some of the game CD's were probably made
during production.
Will you replace these CD's or the whole game for me?
Please let me know how we should deal with this issue.

I also see you never left me any feedback upon reciving my payment...

This is how I was thinking of responding. Is it too mean? This guy is really bugging me!
We leave feedback all at once every month or so. We are not responsible for the discs in a sealed game. We've sold many of them and have not had any problems. Not only was the box sealed, but the discs come sealed as well. Any defects on them are the manufacturers fault and you should write to them.
Sorry
Heather

I'd send it like that. If you never misrepresented the condition of the item then your fine. I wonder if the games still work.

The circles are normal and don't affect gameplay at all. I auctioned off a Point Blank game a few months ago and the winner was also a P.I.T.A., insisting that I examine the disc from every angle in every light source and if he found even a spec of dust on it he would give me negative feedback and demand his money back (the disc was flawless, btw...I take great care of my stuff.) Part of me wanted to tell him to fuck off, you should've asked about that before you bid, but noooooo...I went ahead and sold it to him. Everything was fine, thank god.

Anyway, the good news is that this anal person said that the circles were ok with him, so if they were good enough for him, they're good enough for your guy.

I'm having a similar problem with a buyer right now. He keeps sending me emails...and I haven't even shipped the game yet! (it's going out tomorrow, even though I'm tempted to just tell him to get lost because I know when he gets it he'll find something to complain about).

Anyway, in your case chocobo, I don't think you owe the seller anything. Let him leave negative feedback if he wants. If I look at someone's feedback and see 20 positives and 1 negative, I usually think the person who left the 1 negative is simply a loser. And the seller's rebuttal usually confirms this.

We still can't shake him :(
We told him multiple times that there is nothing we can do, he can try going through Working Designs, but we sold him a sealed Lunar 2 and that is exactly what he got.
Now WD has told him that for returns/exchanges you need to have a reciept and live in North America.

Um, no we don't have the reciept (who does for ebay stuff?) and he lives in SWEDEN! I'm not going to go through the pain of returning something for him when it is against company policy for him to do it himself.
I might have considered it if he hasn't been such a brat. But no reciept ...so oh well!

Sounds like it's time to just block his e-mail address and get rid of him forever.

You did more than enough and I would stop talking to him. If it were me I would not leave him feedback and make sure he does not place bids in any of your future auctions.

i'd leave him negative feedback and tell him its because he was so annoying so maybe he will act different next time he buys something from somebody.
