360 live subscription question

i came across a 360 live subscription card , the 12+1 month one, the thing is i have no use for it and i didn't pay for it, it was actually in a dumpster, the card was still in the package and had a barcode sticker on it that said "field destroy",the part where the code is hasn't been scratched off , so i'm wondering if the card is still valid or if it's no good, anyone have any clue?

I'd try it out too. The worst it could say is invalid code.

It will work fine. What happened is someone must have bought it, decided they didn't need it and returned it. The clerk just took it back as defective while returning it for whatever reason (didn't feel like repricing/remerchandising it, part of the plastic was cracked, out of habit because he took back a few defective items that day, etc.).

Yeah, the only reason that it wouldn't work is that it may be invalid until activated at the register, which I seriously doubt is the case. Hell, try it, worst case scenario is that it won't work.
