Atari has unveiled plans to resurrect the mother of all monsters for a game coming to the Wii and portables (DS and PSP) in Q3. Godzilla: Unleashed will put gamers in control of the gigantic, green, mutant dinosaur, as well as a host of other famous giants in a race to become crowned King of the Monsters.

The game is described as a "fighting game on a giant scale," and players will be set loose on the world's major cities to tear them apart by clawing, kicking, stomping, blasting, and throwing things. "Godzilla: Unleashed" will have a non-linear storyline that will be influenced by the choices the player makes during battles.

Atari Europe's marketing director, Cyril Voiron, commented, "With multiple story paths, players can choose exactly how they want to release the beast within and wreak their own brand of spectacular urban devastation."

Umm...how exactly is this Spam?

On topic, this is cool news but I hope the Wii game isn't just a port of DAM:M! or Save the Earth. I'll be interested to see what they do with the Wiimote.

Though it may be spamming I am glad to hear they are making another Godzilla game they do tend to be very fun for some amount of time.

As long as it ends up better than Save the Earth and Godzilla Domination on the GBA, I'm all in.

SPAM

Your "spam" has now become spam. How deliciously ironic!

(Get it? "Deliciously"? I kill me!)

FYI: I assume he's being sore about this thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96119).

I hope these turn out good. Still need the DC one, the X-Box ones were quite fun I remember (at least for me, most reviews did not sound that good :P)

Sounds like a Rampage ripoff with Godzilla... oh wait, Rampage was probably a rip-off of Godzilla.
