I was wondering if anyone has any info on the game TERRITORY for Gameboy Color. I am almost positive it was never released. I obtained a store display kiosk a while back and found this game in the system.

Since someone else would ask I might as well. Do you have any pics?

It might have come out in Japan, but I doubt it. Nice find! If you decide to sell, let me know, I am interested in purchasing any Game Boy Color prototypes!

I bought a GBC kiosk on ebay about a year ago. I got it and decided to see what game was in it so i opened it and found this cartridge in it. The kiosk came in its original shipping box which had an old shipping label to Kemco on it. I guess it was one of their old trade show units.

Yeah definitely agree on the Congrats, nice find and good job on the luck of the draw with the cartridge.

I take it this is a Kid Klown game? Based on that fuzzy screen shot it looks just like Kid Klown. Also the cart is labled from Kemco, who made Kid Klown. Have you played it at all? I have a hunch that it is a graphic change to Mickey Mouse Magic Wands (another GB Kemco title from Japan.)

See Kemco did a lot of Disney licensed games (specifically Mickey Mouse, but others as well) in Japan but didn't own the license in North America (Capcom did), so they always did a graphic hack to their games for N.American release (Kid Klown for NES was originally Mickey Mouse III for example, Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle was originally Roger Rabbit, tons more too many to list)

However Kid Klown never hit the Game Boy. Mickey Mouse Magic Wands did eventually get a North American release from Nintendo as the publisher, which would lead me to assume that's why this one was never released (They wen't with the superior franchise of Mickey)

Of course this is all speculation until you can back up my theory! :)

That's a cool story about the origins of this cart. I'd love to see pics of the kiosk as well

Here is a pic I found from a trade show. I believe the circled one is mine. If you look closely the sign in front of the circled on says "Territory" which would mean that one could be mine. The guy I bought the display off of had about ten of these. I wish I had bought more because the highest priced one went for like $30.00.
