Me? Best find of February by far. For me, at least.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/ff7ps1.jpg

Manual seems to be in top shape. CDs only have light scratches.

Five bucks. Cha-ching! To eBay!

Edit: Whoa, this version seems to be different from the other copy I have... The manual seems thicker, and has ads. o_O

I had the best day today. I got in a batch of systems that were being sold as is, console only. 7 systems in all, 1 NES, 1 SNES, 1Gesis with a model 1 sega cd, 2 Dreamcasts, 1 N64, and a coleco vision so really 8 if you count the model 1 by itslef. They all work, just had to put a new pin in the nes and that is it. At first I didn't think the sega cd worked but after fiddling with it a bit and opening it and cleaning the lens it works great. Maybe the best deal ever. All for $72 shipped. Sweet deal for me.

I hung out with SarKenobi again today. We hit up one store, where I got this:

SNES:
Battle Cars (cart only) - $3.98

After that, I went to her house for a bit, and picked up some stuff I was buying from her. I would have done it when we did the CD/Game Exchange trip earlier this week but we both had plans afterwards.

N64:
Star Fox 64 (cart only) - $1.50

And last but not least, a big grail:

SNES:
Secret Of Mana (cart only) - $3.33 :D

She knew I was looking for that and spotted one at a GameCrazy recently, only charging me what she paid. I'm one game away from the 150 mark for SNES too.

Yeah, and it's missing one controller. All the packing is there, including posters and such. It does have the original reciept for $299.99 when it was bought at Ft. Gillam in Atlanta. How it made it to a Rhino's in the very backwoods of Alabama is my guess.

I was going to rhino's to get Tactics Ogre, Persona 2, and Rhapsody but I think the employees cleaned the place out before I got there.....

I did see a megaman 4 loose cart for $9.99 at a pawn shop, but I'm not sure it thats a good price or not.

On the 30th, I visited Game Crazy, to see if there was anything "classic" worth picking up before the 3 for $10 deal ended. Wound up picking up Bionic Commando and Avenging Spirit (definitely lost gem material) for the GB, and an excellent in shape Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (PS1) from the sale. I also snagged a copy of Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, since it was only $24.99. Rocket Slime seems to have had a universal price cut, and I urge anyone with a DS to pick up this fantastic game, made by TOSE :)

Yesterday, at a local game store I picked up a like new copy of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (PS1) for $9. I also got something else really nice from that store...

http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/1798/im000456wk4.jpg

An almost complete copy (missing the Natsume registration card) of Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals for the SNES. It even has the cart baggie and 90% of the origina shrink wrap still in tact. I got it for $28, which is at least better than the $60+ this game goes for in this condition on eBay.

Both in great shape, no tears or discolorations. I think they may have had the keyboard at the store, now that I think of it, over in their "music section". I'm going to need to stop back up there later today and make sure it wasn't. LOL

These were from earlier in the week:

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dcpads.jpg
3 DC pads, ten bucks. Haven't tested them yet, but they're going to the eBay store.

From today:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/puyosunmemcard.jpg
Puyo Puyo Sun (CD only) and a Backup RAM cart, both Japanese, $2 each. The guy who had these also had a Saturn on display but it had no cords or anything. The system also seemed very beat up. I'm certain it was a Japanese model - it was gray in color.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dcgunrod.jpg
DC Lightgun, DC Fishing Rod - $5 each. The guy had tons and TONS of DC, NES, Genesis AND Famicom stuff for sale, but he wanted $5 for anything, be it a DC memory card, or a loose game. I could only afford the guns. If the items are still there during the upcoming week I may get them at a lower price, though. *devious*

According to the information I've found, it uses PAL now, but it used to use NTSC. I guess I have to wait to get it to find out! If not, I still got additions to my collection! Well, it may not be a JPN Megadrive, it still comes with some decent stuff. It's still a pretty good steal IMO.

Thanks for the info Kitsune! I appreciate it!

I've been lazy about uploading pics on photobucket. My connection is unstable. Alundra is missing the map and the Guide is a bit worn. The Turbo Grafx has this super 80's poster with Keith Courage on it, and an advertisement for the DUO. Unfortunaly it dosen't have any hookups..... The yellowed SNES doesn't work. The power comes on, but no picture. The bomberman multitap is dusty but still works. All of that was free, one of my friends donated her brother's stuff to me. Her words were "oh, I was gonna throw my brother's junk away, do you want this crap?" JUNK? CRAP? tsk tsk... Any ideas on how to get this SNES working?

Oh, I forgot to add, if you guys are interested in any of the stuff I find, I'm always up for trades. Just IM or PM me.

Apparently I need to complain more often.

Last month I posted (whined) in the Finds section how hunting sucks this time of year in my area and I wouldn't find anything until April-ish. And then, Thursday, this happened:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a293/wufners/nes01-1.jpg
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a293/wufners/snes01-1.jpg
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a293/wufners/snes02-1.jpg

$5 a piece on the SNES games (the cartidges are in there along with manuals and maps--me so happy) and $3 a pop for the Dragon Warrior cartridges.

And to think I was supposed to be at work that day. Glad I took it off.

Another dissapointing day. I went to my cash converters to see that they raised their prices, AGAIN! It would appear they go on ebay, sort by highest price, and then double it.

They did have alot of good games though.
Bubble Bobble NES 19.99 PASS
Mega Man 7 SNES 24.99 PASS
69.99 loose SNES system PASS!

They have TONS of stuff too, probably because it's not selling due to ..high prices..

Whoa whoa whoa, that's high for Cash Converters. It's a good thing they are independently owned otherwise the ones my way would have died long ago! My only problem is I believe others in my area have taken notice that they price a lot of games cheap and due to my busy work & school schedule they scoop up the goods before I even get out to them!

I got some nifty things but I'm lazy right now and don't feel like taking a picture, uploading, resizing, ect. and I'm not going to just list either so everyone's just going to have to wait until Sunday afternoon.

3 for $10 at a video store's game department. All 3 are loose and need a little cleaning but nothing bad.

SNES:
Chuck Rock (C - $2) Nearly new condition, minor corner wear on box.
Genesis:
Thunder Force ($3) Box & game in great condition, no manual.

PC:
Unreal 2004 (C - $7) Paper box version.

Been looking for this game awhile now and all the local GameStops and EB Games had boxes + cd but no manuals for $10. Happy about finally getting it. It was a great day for me!

I wasn't sure wich way i'd go at first. East or west? I chose east, And it paid off.

First I stopped in a goodwill and found a Surround sound amp for $15! I've been looking for one so I bought it.

Then, I went to another goodwill.. Nothing.

And then I went to an indoor flea market, And I saw a complete copy of Panzer Dragoon for the saturn. I wasn't sure if it was the valuable one or not, So I decided to not risk it, And I bought it for $5. It may have not been the best deal, But what the heck.

At the same place, There were some gamecube games for $10 each. I'll pass on those.. But wait! There are two official nintendo brand memory cards for $3 each! I picked those up, But frank (The guy who owns the indoor flea market) Said $1 each so I wouldn't argue with a lower price.

Last stop, One more goodwill. Boughta loose copy of King's Knight for the NES for 99 cents.

So, Even though I spent a little bit too much on Panzer dragoon IMO, I got a good deal on the memory cards, And while I may have not needed them, I won't have to worry about buying any more gamecube memory cards for awhile! :)

Not bad, could've been better. Not happy about the 'modified' games bit but they'll keep as spares, I suppose.

Picked up 3 Xbox sports games from a Goodwill store for $1.97 each. The funny thing is that they wanted $2.97 each for the Genesis sports games.

Well so far I've only been to the flea market once this month, and it wasn't very fruitful.

On eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160078329796&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=006

It's a bit much, but I think it'll be an excellent addition to my collection.

At the flea market:

Sonic the Hedgehog (GBA) complete - $5

NES:
Mad Max complete
Ninja Gaiden II
Mach rider

All for $10

GC

Bongos Boxed $3.00
GC Preview Disc $2.00

So I went to a Goodwill today. Overpriced Genesis sports games? Check. Bare PlayStation unit? Check. Bare Genesis console? Check. (though it was a model 1 instead of the model 2's I usually see). They're still there, of course.

I thought it was going to be a fruitless trip since I didn't see anything else I wanted, but I hadn't checked all the bins yet. I look through one, and under a bunch of random crap I see an atomic purple Game Boy Color. I was like "hmm, they usually keep these in the glass case up front, wonder how much they're charging for this." So I take a look at the back and to my surprise, it's $4.99 (and ironically enough, the price tag was purple. Heh.)

It's in overall good shape, and it even had a battery cover and two Duracells inside. I turned it on and it powered up. Score! I was surprised a GBC in good shape was priced so low, especially since the local Goodwills and other thrifts usually charge anywhere from $15-$30 for them (Last week, I spotted one at another Goodwill with no battery cover for $29.99). Even though I have an SP, I decided a while ago that I'd have no problem adding a GBC to my collection for around $5. :) Definitely one of my best thrift scores.

I can only asume that the Super Glove Ball is brand new, it wasn't sealed, it was $5 and that is the nicest NES game I have ever found. The Camerica cart was $2.50 and I used a gift card to buy them.

I also went to TRU and got GTA:VCS and Polarium and used a gift card.

Two items arrived today...

CMT Presents Karaoke Revolution Country--My first karaoke game (possibly my last) but I couldn't resist getting this one of all country songs. Hmmm, I wonder if I'm the only DP member to get this one?

Games include Video Olympics, Casino, Night Driver, Canyon Bomber, Street Racer, Super Breakout, Warlords, Arcade Warlords, Pong (I've heard of this one!), Circus Atari (woo-hoo!), Steeple Chase, and Demon to Diamonds. This unit cost only $4.99 from Amazon.

I tried to go buy Final Fantasy VI Advance, and no store had it. Gamestop tried to make me to pre-order it but there was no guarantee they could get me a copy so I sneaked my way out of that.

I went to Toys'R'Us and picked up Dr. Sudoku (GBA) on clearance for $10.

And before that, I went to the flea market. Picked up Altered Beast (SMS) boxed for about thirty cents... and a boxed ZAPPER for $5. o_O

Is a boxed Zapper something special?

Not much for me, Linkle Liver Story for Saturn, Vanguard Bandits counter card and a Vay poster.

Honestly?

I had no clue it was released on its own. I thought it was only included as a pack-in with NES sets!

You had many NES packs that didnt have the Zapper. However, i think it was only sold in the early years. What is the latest game that uses the Zapper? Bayou Billy or Operation Wolf, something like that? These games are from 1990 if im not mistaken.

It actually mentions Operation Wolf on the back of the box. I'm not sure when this particular model was released...

Is Operation Wolf printed on the box? If so, then there are probly several of version of the Zapper. I checked the DP guide and Operation Wolf and Bayou Billy got both released in 89 :) I've seen a Zapper version with a Duck Hunt sticker on the box too hehe.

The first NES package that was released in Scandinavia was the controller pack. Later on came the Action Set that included the Zapper. We never got the Deluxe Set with R.O.B. Therefor they had to sell the Zapper seperately so people didnt had to buy the Action Set just to get the Zapper.
