I remember back in the day there was a store called Playmore Recycled games that had a machine that would fix scratched discs. It was a big scary machine about the size of a recordplayer, twice as thick, and it took a few hours for it to fix. I'm sure its just a big buffing machine, but it took out even the roughest scratches.

So my Rainbow 6 Vegas disc got screwed up royally because I moved the xbox from verticle to horizontal while it was on. Does anyone know of any stores nowadays (especially in Virginia) that would offer this service? I want to play Vegas and I dont want to spend another $60 to do so!

if there is a gamecrazy near you, they will fix disks for $3 a pop.

I believe there are some Cash Converters in Virginia. They usually have buffing machines there too.

if you go to gamecrazy.com and click on store locator it will give you a list of all the gamecrazy stores near you. and you should be able to get your "laser burn" repaired at a price of $2.00. if they are charging more then you are getting suckered. you can also buy a disc buff card for $5.00 which is good for 5 disc buffs.

anytime you bump the 360 while it is playing or add an extra controller, memory card etc. the 360 will leave its mark of death in an almost perfect circle around your game. cool!!!!!!!!!!!

hope to be of help anytime

You could buy one of those disc fixers for 40 and have it to fix that and any other games down the line that might have scratches. I would only warn you not to use it on Dreamcast games, because it has a negative affect on them.
