LAST HOPE for DREAMCAST ships FEBRUARY 2nd! (We Hope)

Ahhhhh yeah. Last Hope (homebrew Neo Geo shmup) has been ported to the Dreamcast and ships tomorrow (February 2nd.) We hope. It's been delayed before. A Neo-Geo CD version is also supposedly on its way.

They are only making 2000 copies of the regular edition though I suspect they will print more if demand is high.

Keep in mind this is a homebrew on a CD, not a GD-rom.

The initial first-run will be 2,000 copies, but they've already said there will be another.

Another DC game called Feuer Frei is up for preorder for a March release.

I thought I had seen a post for this but couldn't find it when I searched. It seems I searched the wrong forum... I don't consider the Dreamcast a "classic" console (yet.) Last Hope is a homebrew, but there are at least two more official games (licensed by Sega) that are coming out this quarter on GD-rom.

The console itself is no longer being produced but the official games are still coming... just like the original X-Box.

's cool. I agree with your fourm placement comment too. Just wanted to throw that out there as there's been a couple of Last Hope threads.

Anyone actually play this damn game? All I've seen is Geo fanboys sniping at it, but no one has really gone into the specifics other than "it's a sucky R-Type rip off."
