View Full Version : Do you think I will get my Wii Play?

So Gamestop (online and local stores) and EB were both sold out of their preorders for Wii Play. I found it still available at Walmart online and put it in my basket but got busy with work and didn't complete the order. This morning I came back and reloaded the page for the game on Walmarts site only to find out that it is no longer available! Oh noes! I checked my shopping cart on their site and it was still in there from yesterday. And sure enough I was able to place an order for it. So now do you think I will actually get it or not?

I heard the game itself isn't the greatest but at only $10 more than a wii mote by itself why not? I still can't find one locally.

I think so, I think their inventory is based on units placed in carts, rather then ones paid for.. So if they had 500 copies of a certian game avalable, and somebody places all 500 in their cart, it will come up as unavalable for a given amount of time.. I am guessing thatsyour case, but im not really sure

What is the street date on Wii Play? Does it ship on the 13th or will it be in stores that Monday?

Hard to believe that this game is that hard to get and is likely to be the next "killer app" judging by the "demand".

I could've swore wiiplay was gonna be here tomorrow? i remember looking at our reserve lists and it saying the FEB 2nd.

Everywhere I have seen lists the 13th as the ship date. I still haven't gotten a response from Walmart so I hope I am good!

Wii play really really really sucks. It's not worth the extra money imo. I could have bought a nice sandwich from subway from the extra money i paid :(

I think it's a great deal actually. Anyways I'll find out today when gamestop is getting it.

I've heard mixed things about it. IGN Australia gave it a pretty good score but likewise I've seen some pretty awful scores. It just seems like one of those things you either like it or hate it. Depends on what you want from the game, YMMV. And to me its a nice way to finally get that second Wii mote!

ign.com has wii-play at a Feb 14th release. So you got a couple weeks to track down a pre-order for it. I went to gamestop.com and couldn't find any info on it. I personally wouldn't mind getting it with an extra remote.

How hard will it be to just walk into a Target and get one of these? I didn't preorder anywhere, but I need a 2nd remote, and I figure for an additional $10 plus tax, I might as well get the game too.

Probably wouldn't too impossible I would imagine if you can be there when the store opens in the morning. But I start work at 7am and wouldn't be able to be there so I had to order online.

So what is the actual day that this game is supposed to come out? I went to EBgames.com and couldn't find it anywhere.

Well it's either the 12th or the 13th. Although don't stores like Target usually release all new media on Tuesdays? I'd call to find out for sure before going.
