I have a chance to buy a Japanese Playstation proto. I think the game is released (japan only though). It won't cost me much. Are the chances pretty good that it's worth $20? I don't like cd protos but would be buying it to trade to someone else. So if you have interest in this type of thing let me know.

Depends on which game it is. Rakugaki Showtime proto will be pricier than Parappa Rappa i.e.

I'd double your money depending on which game it is...

If you can get it for an even twenty I would go for it...just my opinion though.

It would depend on the game, depend on the media its on (not that it would be on a CD, but what kind of cd, Official company/Sony CD, or generic kind) and who your getting it from. CD-R's are very very very hard to prove as real or not unless you can track who that disc came from and if theres any kind of documentation also comming with it.
That being said, 20 bucks for a Japanese proto isn't too shabby. I've not personally spent more than about 15~20 a disc on the American PlayStation proto's that i've got.

CD-R are easy to prove as fake though, especally for playstation games...
